Hi All,

Anyone like to share which Rooted method( 1 or2) at first page is more user friendly .Thanks....
*
Method 2 is more tedious but guaranteed will work. This is the proper correct way
Method 1 looks easy but just pray it works for you
No idea why it fail at times for some users

Can someone advise whether i need to install

1. Android Dev SDK
2. Java Runtime
3. HTC Sync

if only to root HTC One, but not to develoe any android software, thanks.... rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Which recovery should I choose,

1.CWM
2.CWM2
3.TWRP

Thanks..    rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Those 3 are compulsory n needed. I recommend TWRP as it backup n restore ROM faster than CWM by at least 50%

last time during i use S3 normally i keep my Titanium Backup file in external memory card.... so when wipe down it won't affect my Titanium Backup file....

with HTC One we only can keep the Titanium Backup file in the internal memory.... so if i wipe down then my Titanium Backup file all gone ?
*
Wiping ONLY occur if you unlock bootloader. Wiping data during rom flashing will ONLY wipe apps dtat in hidden partition which you cannot view. Your Titanium Backup folder plus all your other stuffs that you can view will not be wipe. You just need to restore youur apps from TB or redownload/reinstall the apps. And is a very GOOD practice to keep a copy of all your visible stuffs onto a thumb drive or external SDcarde or USB HD drive - than just use USB OTG cable connect and copy all stuffs back in case any disaster struck and all your stuffs were wiped out

There is not even enough supply to meet demand now. Don't ever expect any price drop anytime soon ??? Furthermore , It is only a month in the market

Do I need to change my current 3G simcard to 4G simcard if want to enjoy the 4G network? Using Maxis postpaid....

I asked the Maxis customer care thru online chat, the PIC said have to change simcard. So i went to Maxis center at Pavillion, the guy told me no need to change as it will auto hook up to 4G network if there the 4G is available. I am confuse now....
*
If your sim is lte enabled it will auto detect lte if available. In lte areas try it first. If cannot detect than go n have Sim card change. All the latest maxis Sim card is lte enabled

Personally I don't find the HTC One design great. I hate the front speakers which just look like a after thought being slap onto the front body. This had caused some poor construction in some sets. It'd be great if HTC has hidden these behind the front body as done by many other phone manufacturers. The grille is also too big when the actual speakers itself is small ( you can google to find out actual size)
I dont feel it to be any premium at all. Just look at the upcoming HuaWei P6 ( have seen and tested it) - this phone really looks premium and floor the HTC One and iPhone 5 anytime
I still don't get why so many guys so crazy over it ??? Maybe I got poor taste. Some described it as if is top of the world quality and gloat over it

I really dunno what u r thinking. HTC places the speakers in front so that when u r holding your phone, it won't cover the speakers.
Compared to samsung, WTH are they thinking, placing their speakers behind, I tested the phone, u can't hardly heard anything in a noisy environment while u r holding the phone, similarly to nexus 4.
Htc this round is indeed innovative on their dual speakers placement and the low light camera performance.
*
You misunderstood my point. . I only said the construction of the front speakers is better hidden behind the front casing instead of putting a additional separate piece of metal on top. I still think it looks horrible. Anyway that is my opinion. You are free to disagree

if you have custom recovery
you can simply go back to stock rom by flashing the stock rom by mike1986
that is not rooted however, an option for you to root and install busybox is available via rooting tool
and if you want stock recovery, just flash tat recovery image
*
This method will NOT removed the TAMPERED status . Only flashing the stock RUU in fastboot mode will remove it

Any link to our stock ruu?
I thought even though you can remove the tampered status, the bootloader will show relock instead of locked
*
Firmware 1.29.707.3 :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860

No matter how one does it, it will always show RELOCK and not LOCKED . That is why I always say is pointless to revert back to stock if you want to claim warranty. Until there is a S-OFF solution, HTC will always know that you have unlock bootloader as your phone info is captured in their HTC servers once they send you the unlock code
Reverting back to stock is good if you wish to sell off your phone and wants the buyer to have the original rom ( if you have flash a custom rom)

Now again the annoying Samsung banner appear again while browsing this forum using phone. Very irritating.. Put the banner up there not enough me? Now doing floating banner, makes me mistakenly clicked it a few times because it's fly up and down especially while loading page and keyboard pop up/down..

Samsung with its marketing strategy.. Sighh.. There is a point when we say it's too much to a level of annoying..

No matter how you try to advertise your S4, we already know and chosen HTC One. tongue.gif

I felt that many here trying to disable or uninstall Blinkfeed. Why?

For me I think Blinkfeed is very good, very much better than Pulse, Flipboard etc.
*
Blink feed is limited to those set by HTC
You cannot assign your own feeds
Beside it, I use feedly
