Well, I thought most people now use KIES or bluetooth or cable transfer or whatever wireless stuff.

just grab a micro sd adapter and usb otg cable, htc one support usb otg right out the box, easy to carry for u to go out too

Here's what I did. Now let me preface this as I take no responsibility for what you do or happens to your phone, yada yada, I'm just sharing what I did and what worked for me.

I did this on the device not on a PC and was rooted previously.

Download the revone.bin from the OP.

Move the file via what ever root explorer/astro/whatever.

Move it to data/local/tmp

Long press on the revone.bin file and check all of the Execute boxes as well as the other that are checked.

I would then reboot just to make sure everything sticks. Normal reboot NOT fast boot.

Once rebooted I opened Terminal Emulator.

First type su to grant terminal emulator superuser permission.

Then type cd /data/local/tmp

Then ./revone.bin -P

It should then ask you to reboot the device. Again, reboot, NOT fast boot

Once it comes back up go to Terminal Emulator and do the su and cd /data steps again.

Then type ./revone.bin -s 0 -u

If everything went good it should tell you to reboot and and you can do a normal reboot, and NOT fastboot, or if you want to check to make sure you have s-off you can boot into your bootloader.

That's just what I did. Results may very. If you have any reactions like fits of rage, a compulsion to throw your device across the room, a need to scream at me, or a desire to buy a S4, please see a physician immediately.

Actually is there any advantage of S-OFF compare to unlock bootloader? The only advantage I see on S-OFF is to change the radio but do we need it? Can any expert here advise?

I read other forum that you can also S-ON but unlock the boot loader, which is really what I wanted to do like change the ROM or kernel that enable us to have some new experimental features like "slide to wake".

Migrated from iPhone so this android experience is really new for me what more a new phone.

Would like to check with all the taiko here, is there another way to "unsleep" the phone apart from pressing the on/off button. If the button is the only way, then pening also cos not sure how durable it is.

Just wanted to ask:

1) To root the phone, do I have to unlock the bootloader?

2) To install custom Roms, do I have to unlock the bootloader>

3) If the bootloader is unlocked, is there a way to relock it to claim warranty, or if once unlocked, kiss the warranty goodbye since there will be no way to get the phone back to stock condition?

guys.. i found that sometimes my phone capacitive buttons did not light up when i unlock my phone. i need to cover up the Proximity Sensors to light it up... =( anyone facing this and any solution?

and another thing. it takes long charging time to make it turn green and 100%.. is it normal?
