Hi guys.

My 1 year contract with True Fitness jaya 33 has ended and I'm not planning to renew it there (trying to find some place with cheaper parking, more low profile, not so crowded at peak hours)


So I found this gym called Alex Gym really nearby my house (walking distance) and I was wondering if anyone here who has been there could let me know what they think of it?

I don't need flashy lights and all, just decent clean environment with a power rack, dumbells and a bench. Also on the website it says that they have free personal training available even for boxing, which is good since I'm rather interested in boxing.

Also interested in knowing the price.

AFAIK, true fitness and celebrity fitness has this philosophy of not having their prices written down in black and white. Everyone seems to be paying differently depending on how well you bargain with them. I'm a terrible bargainer, so I was hoping if someone could let me know the estimate price for a 3 month contract (if they have) for Alex's gym?

The problem currently is that I'm about to finish my A levels and entering Uni soon. But I'm not sure where I'll end up until I get my results and all. So I might end up staying in Bukit Jalil away from home and a 1 year contract would be wasted if so.

Pretty good place to start.. especially if you are into boxing.. has gym sections with alot of free weights if you are into that.. plus point, i work out at night, so there arent much people when i workout..

was there for half a year till i was too busy with works to travel there..

IINM, it is RM270 for 3 months.

I train at the gym few blocks away from Alex Gym, Our Gym. Slightly cheaper but then you have to sacrifice the showers and boxing ring. I think Our Gym is more well equipped because Alex is a boxing-centred gym. Stuffs like power rack, benches etc are available here.

but the trainer here might be a lil might uhhmmm..

Hm, you mean no power rack and bench at Alex's gym?

270 for 3 months is much better than what I'm paying for TF now!

benches should have la, but power rack am not so sure. smith machines I think they do have it there..

It is a ghetto gym la, dont expect facilities like TF. Our Gym is RM190 for 3 months, but its a student rate la.

why dont try at TPM gym?i joining there.

Where is this "TPM" gym? As I recall, ss2 only has two gyms

impossible la, where got ghetto gym on average RM140+ per month. More expensive than the nearby CF @ SS2Mall and Jatomi @ TCM.

Ya wei. 143 a month is more expensive than me continuing true fitness @_@

call them and ask la, contact number is at the webby/fb page. walk in is 15 bucks iinm.

IMO its a good place to start or to continue depending on what you're looking for.

ive been working out there close to about 3 years now.. on and off..
everyone there is friendly and helpful.

one thing to note is that even though a month's membership is almost the same as the commercial gyms,the fee includes personal trainers that are there to guide you all the time. so you dont have to pay more for that.

but yea the more months you pay the cheaper it gets. im paying for a year's membership (rm1100) and got 2 months free.. lol.

Pls pay visit to our gym behind paradigm mall at zenith corporate park..we have full range of fitness and body building equipment 2 storeys high and now we are running 24 hrs as well..only rm 100 per month or rm10 per entry
