the charging contact pin is round shape. not nail sharp type.

how long to charge full?
same as ori dock or slower a bit?

depends on the charger you connect to. you need to know the power output of your charger.

example out put 5V 700mAh much slower than 5V 1200mAh.

for sure if PC/Notebook USB port slower. Usually USB port out put about 5V 500mAh.

for my Xperia Acro S I notice charging with dock + USB port will become very fast. but just test test only. not dare to let it charge in "double" connection for long
