But gark gor, Pink.

BAT pay good dividend. Even though BAT is what I say mature already. Only things that affect their revenue is government law, illicit cigarette.. As compared to GAB?

Like what Pink said, alcohol all also drink. But people stress during downtime, people smoke more.
*
Now analogy...

Stock A : 5% yield Growth 0% Stagnant. Every year give $50.

Stock B : 4% yield Growth 10% per year. Year 1 $40, year 2 $44, year 3 $48.4 and so on...

Lets say both investment is $1000

In 20 years investment A total dividend = $1000

In 20 years investment B total dividend = $2291

So which one is the better investment? wink.gif which one has the higher yield? wink.gif

Cannot see by feel one, go read the financial statements and calculate the 5yr and 10yr EPS/DPS CAGR. Growth > Yield anyday.... best if growth + yield. wub.gif

Hmm Islamic funds... no financials, gambling & alchohol. Most of the big caps companies in the world are financials. Scope too limited.
