So stock investing more rewarding than UT right... that why i no longer keep MY UT.. only left international

Quality stocks...just keep and hold as long as fundamentals and required yield intact.

If u invest thru UT...good stocks but bcos the fund manager wanna do window dressing, temporary price weakness but he dump. Paper loss becomes permanent realised loss

I also have no MY UT fund.

Why need to divide 4?

Should be

A x 5 / 3 x 4

A being your current no. of shares.

E.g.
Now holding 600 shares
No. of shares u will hold after the exercise would be
600 x 5 / 3 x 4 = 4,000

But why 4 is there?

There are 2 parts to the proposed exercise.

(1) Division of 50 sen shares into 5 x 10 sen shares
(2) Bonus issue of 1 new share for every 3 (new shares) u hold

So,

(1) 600 becomes 3,000 by split
(2) 3,000 becomes 4,000 by adding 1,000 bonus shares (A/3*4)

Just basic maths, bro

Btw even after yesterday's mega rally, yield STILL decent.

That makes sense. I keep thinking how come the 4 is there. Well, I think I don't have to monitor this stocks liao since at the current price I'm 200% paper gain, so after all those divide and conquer thing, I think it will make mine about 50% paper loss, should I not change the initial investment value + update the new units. I think this is the only stock that give bonus this year for me
