U, Y & Z series for Lenovo Malaysia set already bundle with 2 year warranty, if u want upgrade warranty to 3 year, u just need to contact legit seller to help u purchase to the Physical Pack or e pack
- if buy those ap set. us set- how to upgrade warranty ? buy from services center ? lol ,
*
its same procedure...just buy warranty pack and register it at lenovo website...
even local set comes with 2 year warranty..actually just 1 year warranty standard and use 1year extended warranty...thats why u still need re-register ur item to get 2 year warranty? haha...
yes, warranty pack can buy from any lenovo outlet or service center lenovo or IBM...or can buy direct online...just need serial number and proof of purchase to register ur item..
dont make people confuse la devour...u last time also contact me to buy my item....hahaa
a few lenovo sales asistant also buy from me last time..legit or not...serial number is valid in lenovo website...

lastly, its up to buyer..if u want Original and Cheap, OR Original and Expensive...u have a choice! just do it what u think is right for u... icon_rolleyes.gif

haha ,few ppl comment about your statement ,but u only dare to quote the simplest answer one, why not answer all above doubt ? whistling.gif  i help you answer, cause you afraid your item could not claim warranty, so u twist here , twist that
local set allow user to eligible 2 year warranty without worry and add on another year ( if user wish ) so much cheaper price  thumbup.gif  ur AP / US set ?
perhaps , u know how much will cost u upgrade warranty from one year to 3 year instead of 2 year to 3 year ? tongue.gif
u are seller but u not selling warranty pack ? instead ask buyer find warranty upgrade by own ? thats mean u not authorize seller la? or u just a runner ? opps, u dont have shop right ?  icon_question.gif where ur unit import in from who ? mind elaborate ?
from initial until now you never said if buyer of AP/ US set face warranty claim problem / buying carepack, u will stand up help, all u have done are ask buyer go here go there only...so , u are clever right ?
mind answer question post on below topic first post ?

I just found out some info from Lenovo Website

http://support.lenovo.com/en_MY/detail.pag...ocID=MIGR-58926
ASEAN (Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)

Customers requiring International Warranty Service in any of the ASEAN countries may be asked to provide one of the following in order to obtain IWS warranty repair service; proof of company identification (company letter, email, business card, company badge with photo ID), proof of purchase (purchase receipt, official order, delivery note, sales memo, or invoice), and/or proof of travel (passport with valid Visa to or from country where product was purchased, or other travel documents).

I guess those who bought US set without any supporting document, i guess the international warranty will be void in Malaysia. Correct me if i am wrong. hmmmm

can u tell me..if i do a business, i buy local set (Malaysia) and deliver to my friend dealer at singapore or Indonesia, then my friend dealer at Singapore sell that unit to their customer...izzit their customer need proof of purchase at Malaysia? or just Proof of Purchase from my friend dealer at Singapore?
thats only 1 tier...if my friend dealer export that unit to his friend at Japan etc...what happen? izzit buyer at Japan still need proof of purchase at Malaysia? hahaha...

even u buy at local dealer, a few tier distri and reseller already been go through before the item comes to u...
just show proof of purchase...all the problem accur is settle...
but some buyer not provide any proof of purchase...so their chance is 50-50 to claim warranty...even u buy local set also the procedure is same..its all about procedure...

now i attach for u ur pm to me to buy my item....see who twist words here...
u think i cant sell local set? im also sell local and oversea unit...all unit that make profit im selling...im a real seller..i just give alternative to those who want original and cheap...

now go to ur pm, find that date...for sure u will tried to twist another words later...hahah

Fyi, u know how long im selling this laptop gadget? Im learn from experience...u learn from what u read from other...thats totally different story...
me already sell this IBM/lenovo US set, Singapore Set, Taiwan Set, Australia Set and many unit from IBM Thinkpad and Lenovo quite long ago...
i know their procedure and not all seller know bout it...

ya last time i also sell refurbish US set HP laptop...that time i also dont know its refurbish set..but i learn alot from that thing..but thats old story...but u still take an old story as ur example..

but after that im selling Original NEW HP (US) set...if that model not selling here sure u cant claim the warranty here..only same model that sell at other country is valid to claim warranty under International Warranty...all manufacture is same procedure...just show a proof of purchase from who u buy that item...

for TOSHIBA...its different story...that oversea model that im selling is not sell here...for sure TOSHIBA cant handle the warranty...but the warranty still there...can go to Singapore to claim..buyer get rm3k discount from retail price..they save alot...can go back singapore many times...:-)
what u expect if got huge discount for Original item?

now i hope u not dream anymore..the reality in this business quite competitive...just handle it with happy face..:-)

Hey Ajul, u just answered ur own question @.@ no matter how many thousand Tier u want talk about, u will need the proof of purchase from where the set come from, which in your example is Malaysia. Its that simple?

And the rest of your statement is about local dealer is irrelevent. No matter how many hands or distri tier local set go through...locally, in the end we buy at ALLIT or Thundermatch, it is still local set and it is all that matters.

No offence, but we are just trying to tell the customer the RISK of getting AP set. If Lenovo Malaysia willing to service, then great everyone happy(and i do believe many of your customer get service from lenovo msia too).

But those in the business know its not the SOP (standard operating procedure) to service AP set. And one of these days Lenovo Msia will CEASE to support AP set (like Toshiba? HP?) and some poor user will be impacted.

Peace out.

what if i told u its not Ap Set? its Original US set...or Original Singapore Set that buying from local dealer?

what u expect if get huge discount for Original Item? buying gadget all is risk...even got warranty doesnt matter if they cant do it..but some time its a bonus...u want pay rm6K or pay rm3k..or 4k its ur money..
for me i will buy cheap item and original...and i dont care about warranty...why ar? bcoz sometime all the warranty just a Sh!t also...at last problem still not settle...all is nice promise...see what happen to u when the problem occur..
go any BMW car site see how many problem they face for car over rm200K..?some issues cant settle..
u get my point? just keep into ur heart...

with discount i get, i can prepare extra money for spare part if anything happen to my gadget..

some seller here, sell this and that...upgrade this and that...but never inform buyer after upgrade the hardware, possibility item warranty void is very high...i dont think our seller here talk bout that? icon_rolleyes.gif

back to Lenovo Story...i already sell near thousand unit i think...just pick 1 or 2 my buyer in my record and u ask them how they claim their unit warranty?
sometime people want hear itself then only trust people.. rclxub.gif

Hi Ajul, if your set is ori US set with official US receipt (like amazon, bestbuy etc), it doesnt count as AP set/grey import already.
And i will personally buy from you and recommend all others to buy from you as warranty is a non-issue. However seeing your price, i dont think your source is so...correct me if im wrong.

And i totally agree what you said regarding the choice we now had with AP set. Smart consumer will know which one suit them most.
Example:
1. Pay more for local set with warranty. Any problem, send to service center, even if its shitty asus center. Note that service center nowadays dont do repair, they just replace the whole problematic part (like whole mobo or monitor etc)
2. Pay much less for ori US set. Any problem...go find laptop repair shop sendiri, and pay yourself. That is if the problem not severe and still can be repair. If the laptop DOA/dead, money gone.

Both have its pros and cons, but in the end, consumer must know the risk of buying AP set because not everyone know how AP set warranty works
*
Yes, its Ori Set with US Receipt...but i cant give to my customer my invoice and show them my cost? izzit dealer sell local set here show their distributor invoice to buyer? u must get my point...
if buyer deal with me..so he/she will get my invoice...not my supplier invoice....u get my point? notworthy.gif
and actually u can check the warranty status in Lenovo Website...if that set is Ori...it will show u warranty status...u never buy Apple Product? how they handle the warranty? izzit different?notworthy.gif

Nobody is going to buy those sets if the seller himself declares that the units do not have warranty coverage in Malaysia.

I supposed this is part of Lenovo's commitment to their local partners. No one is going to buy Malaysian sets if they can get US sets cheaper and with warranty some more.
*
Warranty still there...try bring any local or oversea unit to any "Real" Service Center not reseller, they only check the warranty status in Lenovo Website..if date is too far different then they will ask for proof of purchase..

u also buya nd resell alot of Apple Product...how apple handle their warranty?local set or oversea set people sell different price alot.... icon_rolleyes.gif
