hey this doesn't have to do with audio editing, but was wondering if there is any such software to compress/limit the audio that comes out during playback (windows mixer etc)

i'm running on a laptop and knowing how laptop speakers are, it cracks when it gets slightly louder, i don't want that to happen, i was wondering if there's any such plugin that helps compress/limit the audio that comes out when i listen to music etc

hi bro, thanks for the advice - it's just an avi file captured from fujifilm finepix av230. what format would that be in?

i just really require the simplest of softwares to just cut bits and pieces and export it back to its' original format
