I need to produce a video for college purposes. I need a software for editting video such as adding subtitle, adding mp3, cropping to wide angle, combining video. Need a free and legal 1. Which would be recommended?

currently i need to do 1 commercial for my assignment.. which we plan to record it using sony erricson handphone or nokia n95..

and the problem now is.. i donno how to join up all the video that i had recorded.. bcos i record the video part by part.. is there any software that can join up all the parts into 1 video.

help me pls.. need it urgently..

but what software would work for creating gif files? i used video avatar, but the gif file will have a watermark on it. anyone knows any good, free softwares that i can use?

Add signature to video require to re-encode the videos... just like hardsubbing a video.
im not sure how youtube watermark work, the youtube logo might just display on top of the video instead got hardcoded into video,
since youtube video quality too sux, the logo might not display correctly lol.

Hmm, so now I hv to find a way to re-encode the video. what is re-encode eh? is it, convert back the flv file to mpeg or any type of video that we can edit later on? this is confusing.

My goal is to hardsubbing(put a logo) the FLV file. That's all.

Re-encode = reconvert.
unless your video source is clean and high quality, or its VP6 FLV, is not recommend to re convert FLV since most of the FLV you find on the net use H263(not typo) which is very very outdated and the quality is very suxx.
You can Virtualdub, it can "Hardsubbing" a logo by using internal filter or trough ffdshow.

Recommended step = High quality video -> Add logo to video by using Virtualdub -> Encode to Divx/Xvid (recommended by youtube) -> upload to youtube.

I have an RMVB file but I want to clip off the last 10 seconds of the video. What software should I use for this function?
