You not need coreAVC at all if you have geforce 8 series/redeon 3xxx onwards on your pc.let the GC do the h264 decoding for you rclxm9.gif

Another alternative that 1, but in terms of performance, CoreAVC is still faster

Hi everyone. I was just wondering what codecs or player should I look at if I wanted to play all types of video and audio(or the more popularly used formats)? I'm currently using XP, and may be migrating to Win7, so I would really appreciate it if these 2 OS can support the player/s and codecs.

Most of the popular ones are supported, don't worry

Video file specs and your PC specs?
Seems like your PC doesn't have enough horsepower OR the decoder is only single threaded
