before that i use webroot spysweeper but it takes 30-60 minute for full scan.

I have a combination of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware 2007 as well as running on Windows Vista. I was told by a person in the Sony Style shop that Spybot and Ad-Aware isn't necessary since Vista has its built in Windows Defender, in fact, installing Spybot and Ad-Aware would increase the amount of spy/malware instead shocking.gif

How true is this? hmm.gif

it wouldn't increase the amount of spyware, but the usage of ram. furthermore, you're running on Vista which consume higher resources, so end up will just lagging the system. perhaps u should enable protection from any 1 of them while keep the others for scanning purpose when necessary

Thanks for the clarification smile.gif My system doesn't feel laggy to me though, but I will take your advice into consideration. Thanks a lot again! biggrin.gif

it lies on the specs of your pc anyway. reducing programs that run in the background may lead to even better performance indeed
