Anti-Spyware (LYN official software poll results & comments)Bold: freeware

Note: Installing additional Anti-Spyware or Anti-Trojan is usually safe for all users. To avoid having multiply real-time protection enabled, always unselect start with system startup, disable shields, guards or any other real-time protection features. Some security softwares are just not compatible with others while others may have high system requirements to run them. Always check the software vendors homepage for system requirements and compatibility issues.

Not all anti spyware program is free.
Ad-Aware personal edition is free, don't need to purchase to remove the spyware.

Ok, I have been doing this researches for quite some times and trying many spyware remover softwares before. My recommendation is installing zone alarm anti spyware and ad-adware SE together at one time. This 2 spyware removers are the best now.

Besides that, install McAfee SIteAdvisor in order to guide u from surfing the net and preventing you from entering some dangerous websites. I had one bad experience before where I entered a website that I thought I can get my spyware software there. Who knows my pc get hijacked and whenever I tried to online, my ip will redirect to its website.I downloaded its so called spyware removal and in fact, my pc get infected by 70++ of viruses and 70++ malware!! My pc hang. I have forgotten the website url. Anyway, McAfee SiteAdvisor is one of my recommendation.

The following websites are free virus or spyware scanners.Hope it helps.

a) www.pandasoftware.com (Find activescan)
b) www.kaspersky.com (find virusscanner) ==kaspersky is popular now although sometimes there might be some fake alarms.
c)www.housecall.trendmicro.com====pc cillin
d) security.symantec.com. find virus scanner as well=====norton.

For service pack 2, they require u to download active x into your pc before the scan starts. So, enable your active X and let them install some small size files into your pc first.

Gd luck.
