I've been invited to an interview by a company. The first interview went quite well and I can see the interviewer likes me very much. He has also said that if I were hired then he'd be my supervisor. However, I still need to have an interview with the department manager before I could secure the job. So he said he will forward my documents and resumes to the department manager and if the DM wants to have an interview with me, the HR will contact me. *The interview lasted for 45 minutes FYI*

*5 hrs after the interview ended* and the HR called me to have an interview with the DM.

So I had my second interview session conducted by the DM this time few hours ago. These were the questions being asked by the DM.

*Intro yourself
*Tell me about your family members - where they are working, how much is their pay
*Tell me your hobbies
*Tell me what is the most exciting moment in your university life
*Tell me what is the most depressed moment in your university life
*Tell me why the reason why you have applied for job in our company
*Do you know how is the working environment here?

Ok so those are the questions. However, none of the questions discussed about the job position that I applied. Other than those questions, we chit chat about other non-relevant stuff.

The interview lasted for 30 mins and all I felt was the DM was trying to 敷衍 me..

According to the first interviewer (supervisor), if I pass thru the DM and If I were selected, my application would still need to be processed by the HR department but however, the process wouldn't be taking too long (in around a week). BUT

According to the DM, he still need to have a meeting with dunno who and who before confirmation of my application. The process takes about 2 weeks to a month. (much longer time)

Anyway, I might be worried too much but do you think I still stand a chance of getting the job? As what my frens said, my chance of securing the job is much much higher as I made it to the second interview after all. What say you?

RM5k++ only able to save 2-3k per month provided you kiamsiap a lot.. in SG, u can save more right?

M&E engineering at general building, SGD only offer 3k instead of RM 4.8k after include both groass + benefit.. Realised that MYR getting weaker and weaker now and safety issue is another concern. That is the reason I need to seriously consider about it. That's because after conversion, almost same as current saving. Is it a bet or wise choice. Besides, my hometown is in johore. 

They dont really look at the result. They prefers to look at your achievements..
You meant if 4.8k in Malaysia, can try to negotiate to 4k++ SGD? erm.. any recommended ways? LOL.

"I prefer to get 4k and above as what I currently being offer in Malaysia. Dont talk to me about currency of the rate of conversion as the living expenses here (sg) are much higher than in KL. ".. lol..

achievement? means i have to work in malaysia 1st lo.. because i just fresh graduate.

I got almost 50% increment in my first job in SG, which means i was way underpaid when i was working in KL.

targeted by june 2013 sgd:myr to be 2.55 vs current 2.5, that's 2% difference however difference in fd rates is around 2.3%, sg 1% and msia 3.3% per annum... therefore it is slight better to keep it in myr

would recommend to keep half in sgd half in myr... but of course putting it in FD is of the last resort and only for the amount needed during emergency, est 6 months of income

hi all, anyone here works as management executive or have info about those graduate programme? I am at my mid of 20 and possess a degree in building but I want to do something related to management, more accurately, different aspects of property management/marketing. I saw programme from sentosa/mapletree/capitaland which is more to graduates. I have 3 years working experience and earning $3k+ but current career is not what I enthusiast.
two things I am worried about are my age and salary. I am quite old compared to those who just graduated, and I have to support my family's loan. If working as management executive gives only $2k then that would be huge problem to me. And definitely I can't compete with young graduates. But at the same time, I don't want to give up what I really like to do and want to do it when I still can change career.
So, does anyone have info like salary range, do they accept 25 yr old, and possible they give higher salary to experienced graduates?
