Getting the AFC license was a good move. It's always nice to be able to try the teams from the middle east and Japan. The J-League is also included if I'm not mistaken or will it be just in the WE Jap series?

As a teaser trailer, it's quite decent, unlike EA's Ignite unveil, seems like this one is in real-time, you can tell by the animations(has shades of PES11-14).

Looks amazing. The animations complement the ball physics and the way players turn with the ball(inertia). It's looking good.

Hopefully Steam will unlock the PES games for this region, the only way of buying them via Steam from Malaysia is to use or a proxy/VPN to mask our IP.

QUOTE(ericling @ Jun 14 2013, 08:30 AM) Really enjoyed PES 2013 over FIFA 2013. PES 2014 with that Fox Engine looks really good. Too bad the E3 trailer isn't played by someone who's good with the game. But in the Gamespot's interview, where the producer, Kei played the game himself, the game looks amazing! The footwork is nimble and physical aspect in the football really shown throughout the game. The trailers and gameplay is still pre-rendered, so I expect there will be massive change in the final product. Let's hope then I think on the E3 floor, it was Kei holding the controller. Some parts of the trailer was pre-rendered, but definitely the gameplay videos were showing the actual gameplay in real time.

according to this article here. We will have J-League in PES2014. Also interesting quotes from the article: QUOTE When creating a team's shirt in Edit mode, "all" parts will be able to be edited. Interestingly, Hosoda says the new process will be very similar to how Konami create their kits for licensed teams. Additionally, we were told these edits [entire option files?] will be "easier to share with other users".
When creating kits, users will be able to add more detail as Hosoda told us PES 2014 will introduce "bigger" kit resolutions (currently stands at 128x128). Hosoda said this has been done because Konami "have to prepare for the next generation". We were told an exact figure but we must wait before disclosing this information.

Should be easier to keep track of everyone with the Online Community mode. That's the only thing that's lacking from FIFA, but their(FIFA's) friendlies hub is better from my experience.

You need to play the game more to get into it. Playing on the PS3 demo it's very much different in terms of passing and shooting, and Fox engine has definitely helped in terms of collisions and animations.
Graphics are a bit poor due to the fact that they are compressing the fox engine to fit current gen, sadly the PC port also suffers as a result of this. Could've been much better graphically. Plus they couldn't port faces from PES2013(due to Fox Engine) so they had to do it all from scratch(which explains the lack of real faces for some players).
As far as licensing goes, it's been like this since PES/WE on PSX, what did you expect? KONAMI can't compete with EA on the financial front, exclusivity pretty much kills immersion and it's not KONAMI's fault that FIFA are turned by cashed to offer EA exclusive rights. See what happened to the NFL2K series? Right now Madden is the only American Football game left.
Back to topic: My recommended settings:
Passing bars: 1(0 is a bit bugged atm) Shooting: Advanced(RT shooting is also bugged when using manual shots) Turn off all other A.I assistance in Player Support.
Hopefully they'll release a new patch to rectify all the bugs. Can't help but feel they rushed the release, plenty aspects of the game feel incomplete, especially Online from what I've read.

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Sep 21 2013, 06:44 PM) My parcel sesat. The courier (City-Link) went to wrong housing area or maybe just lazy. Seriously it pissed me off. Should have arrived yesterday, but instead i am forced to wait until next-week. Poslaju, despite public perception never ever fail me since i was a little kid. I remember the same thing happening while waiting for my PES2011 copy, they delayed my parcel 3 days because it was raining(but they put error due to unforeseen circumstances), drive a freaking van for god's sake. I notified youbeli.com/CK-Multimedia to use Poslaju since then but they didn't listen.

No way the dribbling is like FIFA. The players feel a lot more heavier when doing sharp turns, plus acceleration is a bit slower than FIFA. I don't really like the tapping approach, I'd prefer if they used the right analog to knock on the ball like FIFA but keep the ball physics as it is.

Blame the aging consoles for the graphics, I don't think they properly used the Fox Engine in it's fullest due to the fact that the PC version is merely a ported game from the current gen consoles. I played the demo on PS3 last week and there were slowdowns in various parts of the game.

Just tested online with fellow Lowyatian here, the interface is a freaking mess. Very not user-friendly and just downright confusing.
And the worst thing? They removed community mode. That's the silver lining on top of all the bugs with controls and slowdowns in cutscenes.
Starting to regret my purchase, this seems like an incomplete game they shouldn't have released yet.

I bought this game because of offline I thought it was decent enough, so I had small hopes that online would at least work.
The worst thing about Online apart from the UI and lack of community mode(no place for you automatically sign to and gather with friends), is that you can't see the connection quality before a match. In FIFA you can see whether the opponent has green bars or not before a friendly.
In PES2014 it's just guesswork. KONAMI are really light years behind in the Online department, their UI looks dated enough(HUGE Popups in-game) but they're execution of online play has been piss poor since PES came to next-gen and it's already been 6 years and they haven't improved at all.
