Good morning.

For those who have "Liked" the official LEGO FB page, check out their photos of the Summer 2013 LOTR sets. Arghh.

Morning. Anyone going to Amcorp Mall this morning?

I'm going there for a quick barter trade / COD around 10:30 am with BOMer for mini haul today.

A lot of people bought the bootlet TMNT figs. XD

Cheapest way to  complete it. But I personally will not buy it.  tongue.gif
*
I got a black Ninja for testing sometime back. Head piece doesn't snap and hold in place. If you pick up the minifig by the head, body will just drop off.

Bricks from other parts (some spinner thing i guess) don't snap together well. Not satisfying for me tongue.gif

The Turtles look tempting though.

No lor. Don't wanna start with Turtles. Don't like it any more. When I was a kid, yes.

Off topic - but what about the figures? Or just got the vehicles?

QUOTE(ilfort @ Jun 9 2013, 02:37 PM)
That one price cheaper than LEGO.
*
Yup. Can't remember how much per figure I bought. Think it was around RM 30 each. Now they reissue all 80s cartoon figures with better sculpt and articulation. Got the Thundercats Lion-O from Giant at bargain price few months back.

The He-Man ones look nice too but expensive cause exclusive (oops. One of Bro Alby's hated word)

Was on a movie collectibles buying phase once upon a time.

QUOTE(wintzen @ Jun 9 2013, 05:17 PM)
I thought you went there last weekend too for the Minifigs? Are you collecting the whole set of S9 minifigs or just selected ones?
*
Yes, I was. Hard to arrange to meet all people on the same day. I think this is the 3rd consecutive weekend I've been there.

You either have a really good memory or ....... hmm.gif (hehe, just joking)

I'm only collecting certain minifigures - not all. I'm (trying!) to stick to only specific themes and only getting the ones with designs that I like.

Ordered a set of S9 and S8 or individual minifigs?

BR is the one which is the special fig from the Danish or German toy store a few pages back, correct?

Wow. This really shows young you guys are. You guys never heard of the "big brother big" phones before?????

Shocking. Hehehe. Think the 70s and 80s babies will know what I'm talking about.

My first phone in college was a Nokia that had changeable faceplate. Think it cost me RM 899.

Looks like we'll be seeing new stocks everywhere soon.

There were some other Star Wars stuff, especially restock of the 9493 - X-Wing Starfighter (which I've also seen at 1Utama TRU over the weekend)

Sorry bro. Didn't notice the LOTR pirate ships. TRU staff were still stocking up the shelves.

I was kinda excited to see new stuff and completely forgot to look for the ship. But if it already arrived, I didn't see it displayed yet.

Sometimes, people (like me!) haul first and pay later. Gotta cut down on credit card spending. doh.gif

But so far, past couple of weeks was getting local resellers. I'd probably buy from you guys and spend much more if I'm not fighting temptations all the time!

It's also a blessing I'm quite selective with my themes (for now!). Wishlist not getting any shorter.

Hahaha not taking over anyone's job/sharing tongue.gif And so happen I was at curve today so went visit TRU because One U has new stock but didn't get to molest. Finally get to molest the creator sets hahaha. The boxes are quite huge hahaha. Treehouse box is the same size as Small Cottage while Family House is close to the size of Lighthouse biggrin.gif
*
You summoned? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(mryellow19 @ Jun 12 2013, 07:03 PM)
I coincidentally was there so thought of checking TRU.
I think only TRU One Utama has town square. Not even curve TRU has town square.
Some TRU actually numbers the packets. If you look at TRU One Utama CMF Series 10 box, they actually indicated the figures by numbers. When you check the packs, some has numbers written on them but TRU staff do make mistakes too hahaha. Saw one pack with the wrong number indication tongue.gif

*
Was at TRU 1U again today. Didn't notice or realized that they numbered the CMF. Saw a couple picit picit today.

The thing is, I noticed this over the past few visits - Lone Ranger sets slowly disappearing off the shelves at the 2 places I've been to today - TRU and AEON 1U. Not as fast as the Superhero sets though. Not a single Iron Man or Man Of Steel set in TRU. A couple of big ones left at AEON (Battle Of Smallville).
