before celcom installer come, i told them that i am unifi user, yet to cancel the line, i ask them their suggestion,
they told me celcom share the same infra with telekom, almost everything. port same as well. what do need to do is , only change wifi router.
yes, only change modem, unifi fibre cable remain same, port does not need to change also.
so they use back tm modem, unplug my dlink router, select huawei celcom router, thats it, the whole process took less then 30 minutes, they also gv me guide on how to access inside the router to change SSID / router login password as well.
by right if we wants to cancel unifi, we need return the tm modem, but since celcom is using the same modem, so TM ask me to proce with the celcom subscription form, i just show them and they proceed with my unifi cancelation. it will took TM 14 days to terminate my unifi account as we make advance payment for the first unifi bill, TM actually will use this amount to pay for the 14 days bill and the remaining left over amount will send me by cheque, thats what the CS told me.
speed and service wise. nothing much different with unifi vip5, still can BT whole day, jsut slightly faster in BT, before that i can only get 500kbps, but now is 900++kbps.
surfing internet / youtube same as previous unifi vip5 is good enough for streaming media.
well i think if unifi slow, celcom will slow down as well.
900kbps is at 7Mbps speed. Not bad. Went to Lowyat today, saje2 ask around the Celcom hub if there is any info regarding Celcom fiber, but none ._.they told me celcom share the same infra with telekom, almost everything. port same as well. what do need to do is , only change wifi router.
