QUOTE(uncle_toufu @ Apr 9 2016, 08:17 AM) Yesterday I get a call from Celcom, they say it is not a fiber package...it is something like a MiFi. Means upon register, they will give me a device and a SIM card to connect to the 10mbps internet . Swt When they going to launch it officially? Sometimes MiFi is really convenience thou. Hopefully unlimited data. |

Ok guys. Just spoke with celcom operator via phone just now.
This package is offered exclusively for those who registered the First Gold package, either the rm80/mth or rm100/mth. The concept is this: they will install fibre to your home, pretty much like UniFi or Maxis, via distribution point attached at poles. So far, the coverage is mostly at Klang Valley and of course at all states in Malaysia, but only certain areas. Like for example, where i am staying in Kedah, the operator said the coverage is only at Sg petani, alor star & Langkawi, and only at certain areas though. If want to request Celcom to come & install at your place, need to register at any nearest Celcom center or Blue Cube center. Will update you all further when i go to Celcom center to inquire about this. |

Just went to celcom center this morning to inquire them.
It seems that the package is currently offered at Klang Valley only at the moment. and yes, it is using FIBER, like UniFI or TIME. I'm crossing fingers for Celcom to widen their coverage on this one. |
