 Unhappy with the s4 and the service

I just had my s4 for 2 weeks... the first day it hangs the second day it overheats... once it was so hot that i had to let it go... i went to the service centre and they actually opened it up and replaced the motherboard....

I am very unhappy with this... i only had the phone for 2 weeks and they actually had to open it up and change the whole motherboard???

Come on ... i bought the phone from a samsung shop ... had the phone for a mere 2 weeks, not even a month has reached.

Why am i unhappy?

1. The phone basically is a disappointment from day 1

2. When i went and request both in the service centre and the customer care service(call) for an exchange ... they said no... Samsung malaysia does not do 1 to 1 exchange..

3. I mean wth .... they opened my phone up and replaced the whole motherboard, why the hell can't they just give me a new phone and BESIDES its only been 2 weeks.... and WORSE its rm 2.2k

4. the service center guy told me that it is only if i send if for problems 2 or 3 times that they will forward it to the headquarters for a request of a new set replacement...

Seriously man what the hell... what the hell... now i'm having a refurbished set instead - -"


I urged buyers to reconsider getting the s4

If you paid rm2.2k and already had problems with it within 2 weeks wouldn't you want an exchange as well instead of them opening up the whole damn phone and replacing the motherboard???

Hell i was using the same apps i was using on my s2 prior to using my s4, and hell it heats up even on standby mode and even on mesaging... i don't even play any high graphic games, so far there was only game game installed and the rest are apps like whatsapp, instagram, facebook and someother minor apps, imagine the s4 overheating over that apps or even hanging while trying to receive a call.......... minor overheating is okay, but like i said once it got so hot i had to LET IT GO (get the picture of how hot it was) ????????????????

I don't expect an exchange if it has been a month but its only been 2 weeks, so what the hell, so dude please read before you even reply, i merely asked ppl to reconsider about purchasing the s4. If you are okay with such circumstances then man you are either a joke to yourself or you're just too rich, because 2.2k is a lot to me, and i expect at least a proper phone.

After changing the motherboard it's better... Overheating is still there but much much less - more like a phone now ... However now when I use the camera sometimes it restarts .... Man you know what this really sucks that we don't get the same treatment as in the US even though we are paying the same amount .... Most of you guys here are content with such treatment and I wonder ... Isn't this why we as consumers here are still treated as such? Man I'm sure you guys know that in US or EU, they would have exchanged for a brand new set to keep their mouths shut .... It is still doesn't change the fact they sold me a defective product and tried to give it back to me the same stuff just this time refurbished lol...

Gawd dammit its overheating and laggy again ive not download any extra apps since 2 days b, sigh and with an additional auto restart when using the camera
