trying to decide which amex to go for whether the gold or platinum amex offered by maybank.

any suggestions, the annual fee is a minus point for platinum.

why not go for mbb2card (visa/master + AMEX)..
no annual fees....

well because I already have another card ,visa with another bank.

Main idea for maybank is just for the amex card platinum or gold

Mbb2cards better rewards. You can just leave the additional visa/master at home.

appreciate the fedback but still want to keep using the card I have .

For me, just need two cards, one a signature from the other bank and another an amex card.

I know rewards will be better if I get both mbb and all but just my own individual preference.

No idea where is the RM2 shop but Prima Hotel Melaka is at Jalan Kee Ann.

yeah, that's the one. last time i stayed there and i saw they put the amex accepted sign but i didn't bother to ask them as i already bought from agoda. but still, i'm surprise for budget hotel like this do accept amex.

Yes they do accept Amex. Stayed there last weekend and paid with Maybank Amex.

by the way, why don't you buy through agoda for extra discount?

Last minute decided to stay overnight at Malacca so just walk in to Prima Hotel.
Only RM240 nett for a family deluxe room on Saturday night.

The room fits 4 persons but we sleep 7 persons and they don't charge us extra.
Will stay there again if visit to Malacca next time.

did you requested for extra beds? but the breakfast only for 4 person too right? so you need to top up for another 3 breakfast? next trip you can plan earlier so can buy through agoda for 7%+5%+5xtp.

No didn't request for extra bed. Breakfast only for 4 persons, the other 3 persons continue sleeping.

the outlet at 1u I went is minimum RM30, not sure whether is same for all outlet or not
