receiving sim card doesn't guarantee it is already activate. I got my sim card last friday and still not yet activated sad.gif

anyone here using zte mf190? i can't seem to get more than 1mb with this thing. btw the coverage in my area is not that good (eventhough maxis website claims full HSPA+ coverage) but with huawei e5331 i always get 5mb which is enough to get buffer free iptv.

just managed to read around... I think the problem was caused by the router itself, making signal interference. gonna get a good quality usb extension cable and see how it does.

the modem can support 7.2mbps but as of now can only do 1mbps. for me, getting 5mbps is a good thing already. so I'm gonna stay with it if the extension cable trick works.

right now my e5331 is showing it's connected to hspa+ at 4 bar strength. but I'm only getting between 600k to 1.5mbps. am I getting throttled or am I getting trolled? lol

went for a quick drive with Huawei e5331 on all the time. result...

bukit subang - 500 kbps
bukit jelutong - 10mbps
seksyen 13 shah alam - 2mbps
petaling jaya - 3mbps
pantai dalam - 4mbps

not modem problem right?

e5331 is rated to have max 21mbps right? only bukit jelutong gives good speed just now while bukit subang where I live is just hopeless. the speed varies from 300kbps to 1.5mbps which is pathetic since e5331 reports it's getting full bar on hspa+

will do another test again & hopefully it will get better

I'm satisfied even if it manages to hit 5mbps & stable. unfortunately no lte yet in shah alam area so I'm stuck with dc hspa+ at the moment.

you're probably right, maybe there's too many maxis 3g users here plus peak hours usage.

I confirmed line congested, now can easily get at least 5mbps since most people slept already.

Shah Alam is not in the list of covered areas, at least that's what maxis website says. the map app shows coverage until subang jaya only. anyone with lte modem can drive around in shah alam or bukit subang area & investigate? that would be very much appreciated.

anyone want to pinjam me e398 modem to test in my area? if I could get even a stable 5mb connection, I would be happy already considering how sucky the speed I'm getting right now. sigh...

this is similar to what I'm facing here in bukit subang. already made complaint last week & still waiting for maxis technical team to call me back. it's useless if the line is only available between 2am to 9am.
