Anyone having problem playing Dota 2? I always get disconnected around 4-5 minutes of gameplay, but there's no problem while downloading, can even download non stop for few days. Tried the ping trick using cmd with ping www.google.com -t command line still no luck.

Dont download while you want to gaming.

Just dont use the connection while gaming
*
I didn't download while I was playing, just wanted to say that I could download nonstop but playing Dota 2 only lasted for few minutes.

QUOTE(ikki_ahmad @ Jun 5 2013, 12:31 AM)
I play Dota 2 too, my connection is ok, delay a lil bit but no lag. Just dont use your internet for streaming or downloading while gaming. And if you connect to the internet by router, try using a ethernet cable instead of wireless. Cause I also used to dc a lot during the game but then after I connect by cable, problem solved. Hope that can help smile.gif
*
I didn't download/surf during playing. I'm using E372 + MR3420 with cable plugged still won't solve. Tweeted MaxisListens and they said to use unetp as APN and I could play until the end. But when i change back to unet the QoS is still 2048. Do I have to tell them to give back private ip?

QUOTE(Zhao @ Jun 4 2013, 11:31 PM)
no problem for me on china sites. hmm.gif

no problem for me.
maybe you can try resetting your modem a few more time.
try using networx, there is a ping function. easy to use
*
I reset hundreds of time today rclxub.gif . I'm using CfosSpeed which also have ping function. I'll try networx, thanks.

EDIT: My bad, I know why QoS still the same. I locked my modem to band UMTS 900 and played Dota 2 with apn UNETP. Tested 2 games and it worked (so far). Changed back to UMTS 2100 and UNET apn got back my 42000 QoS. Didn't know changing to UMTS 900 would cap my QoS. Stupid me doh.gif

guys, anybody facing this problem? my bill got charged RM55 extra for "usage", for two month in a row, talked to live chat, first time they checked their sms record and confirm i didnt subscribe any of those service, and got waived for it, but this month happens again and they refuse to waive it, the cs even told me the service can be activated by clicking on internet game link, i felt funny and ask back how internet link determined my sim info? didnt it capture ip address only? he cant even answer me, i said im going to report CFM/MCMC and he said you can go ahead..  mad.gif

what should i do?
*
Happened to me too. Before this I plugged my modem to MR3420 all the time. Last few weeks I plugged to my PC and then got so many paid SMS claiming that I successfully subscribed to something. Haven't used the SMS function at all, was so furious. Talked to Maxis via LiveChat they kept on saying I did the subscriptions, almost wanted to go burn Maxis HQ vmad.gif . After long time of maki2 they decided to waiver last month (May) bill, but won't waiver my April bill. Both got extra charged RM25 doh.gif . No idea what's happening to Maxis nowadays, but yeah try to live chat and get waiver.

not really . maxis insisted that it was activated by me myself. either thru sms or url link.. well , nowadays , who will that stupid to subscription that kind of sms ....it was so yesteryear...
*
I feel you bro. I also got charged extra RM25 for SMS subscriptions, even though I've been using E372 + MR3420 which I have no idea how the hell it got subscribed. LiveChat with Maxis they insisted I was the one who bought it, I went crazy and then they decided to waiver only last month's bill. Got extra charged for 2 months luckily I checked this month, if not Maxis will kikis my money longer.

I'm currently studying in UIA Gombak, and I found out that LTE is available next to Gombak area. Does anyone know about Meteor 3G 18dBi antenna? I'm thinking of using 2 of them connected to E398. But I'm curious, will it able to gain LTE signal because judging by the antenna's name it might only gain 3G signal.

Haha that's why I'm asking, if it only gain 3G signal then I'll just buy E398 only. Already have one meteor 3g though, connected with E372 atm.

Already got TP-LINK MR3420 v2, just need E398

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 9 2013, 06:30 PM)
That meteor link actual supported frequency is 1920-2170Mhz if I remember correctly wink.gif
*
Yeah, the 3G one support 2.1Ghz, the WIFI one 2.4Ghz. LTE band is 2100Mhz and 1900Mhz?

Good enough ady.

*
Ya, I've been told that signal gain in E398 is scary haha. is this 3G or LTE? I like the low ping

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 9 2013, 08:30 PM)
The antenna I am selling wink.gif

But TBH, Maxis signal is very awesome so no point investing on antenna unless you live inside forest or signal blind spot.

Just wait for LTE to reach you.
*
Well UIA is in forest haha. I can see only the mountain just by looking through the window. I have E372, MR3420 and meteor antenna the best I could get is around 7-8Mbps max, if only the modem itself only 3Mbps if lucky.

3G la... That kind of upload speed. sweat.gif
*
Haha maybe the line was weak, had to make sure which line biggrin.gif . Even if it was weak LTE I'd still be impressed, atleast for the download speed and ping. But I'm more impressed with E398 signal gain, I've never reached that kind of speed with 3G without help from antenna.

QUOTE(zr125 @ Jun 9 2013, 09:55 PM)
line kinda slow tonight? anyone?

Location? Speed is still flying here in Batang Benar, Seremban.

It's easy to identify if a connection is LTE or not.

Upload speed easily more than 10Mbps and ping is around 20-35ms.
*
Wow, easily 10Mbps upload, can't imagine the download speed...haven't taste the speed of LTE yet, and if I did, I'm pretty sure I'll get more addicted to download speed. I'm already addicted enough with 7Mbps not sure what would happen if I get more haha.

I cannot get used to normal 3G speed anymore. tongue.gif
That said, I still suffer with bad speed in PD. laugh.gif
*
Haha I've read about it. Once you get a taste of 50Mbps, your life won't be the same anymore haha. I pray you'll get back the speed one day

but that's for download only, upload still ~2mbps, dunno how to improve liao, lol
*
I should try that too just for fun, I'm going back to my hometown tomorrow, leaving my PC behind I'm pretty sure it would extraordinarily boring. Could you post some pictures if you don't mind? I want to see how you set it up smile.gif

Try hunt for better tower not better signal.
Better signal =/= better speed. In fact we should hunt for tower which perform better.

When I back to Kampung even at -8x > -9x dBm I can get 15Mbit and 30ms whole day.
Try 2100Mhz as Maxis don't run DC-HSPA+ on their 900Mhz.
Unless 2100Mhz is severely congested then move to 900Mhz.

For LTE, 1800Mhz seem more congested now due to the ever increasing of users. Try 2600Mhz.
But pandai-pandai lah, play with it and explore yourself, I might just talking rubbish as I still didn't play with LTE yet. sad.gif
*
I used this technique to solve my problem with Dota 2 before. I used 900Mhz I could play until the end but if I want to download I'd switch back to 2100Mhz.

OK, discovery... Previously both SurfMore75 and Biz68 were connected to the same 1800 tower.

Now they are different. SurfMore75 still connects to the 1800 tower while Biz68 is connected to a new 1800 tower which is slightly slower. doh.gif

Will complain till I'm satisfied. biggrin.gif
*
That's just wrong, connecting to new tower is fine but with slower speed? That's not good shakehead.gif
