hi ppl, I have requested for public IP from Maxis and they have approved it. however this public IP is only assigned whenever I am connected to the 3G network. If I am connected to LTE, the private IP is assigned without fail. I expect this public IP activation should work independently from the network connected though and I should have a public IP also when connected to LTE. anyone experienced this? and if yes, were you able to solve it? and if yes, how?

What's public IP for? 

For issue hosting game server or CCTV? Other than this difference, nothing else? 

any diff from normal maxis apn?

if i always connect wifi tethering with iPhone with long period will that iPhone broken faster?

right now my e5331 is showing it's connected to hspa+ at 4 bar strength. but I'm only getting between 600k to 1.5mbps. am I getting throttled or am I getting trolled? lol

thanks guys... my unifi contract is going to expire on October. Tak larat dah nak bayar RM199 per month. But I'm not sure whether is this LTE is a good option for video streaming my netflix at home in Ampang.

I'm satisfied even if it manages to hit 5mbps & stable. unfortunately no lte yet in shah alam area so I'm stuck with dc hspa+ at the moment.

you're probably right, maybe there's too many maxis 3g users here plus peak hours usage.

did maxis disable the tethering or slow down your speed if tethering ?

these few days i getting no internet responses no ping responses when i plug & use my mf680 in 3420 , very very bad internet experiences , most of the ping are dead , when ping come alive , only for few seconds then all dead again , but fine when direct plug & use in pc .... so weird

tried a modem named Sierra 753S, DCHSPA+ modem, quite gooding with the app AirCard Watcher in ios

sorry if slowpoke as the modem is not latest and only support DC not LTE but pricing around 200++, got it as a tester
