Mrt3 not designed to cover commercial hub, mostly residential. 10 out of 31 stations are interchanges and the other 21 stations are generally high density areas.

That’s the planners hope, whether people will actually follow is another story. But if can take circa 100k cars off the road per day then I think is a worthwhile effort.

That’s why mrt1, mrt2 and lrt lines exist, to cover those commercial hubs.. Mrt3 is designed to mostly provide residential coverage with 10 of it stations being interchanges to the lines I mentioned.

Nope. If that was the case then we'd see houses near mrt2 or lrt3 increase as well but so far roughly the same. The Cheras part of MRT1 line also didn't see a substantial increase so it really is location specific.

Taman Desa is nowhere near the proposed route alignment..

Might take another 10 years to see actual station opening. Long way to go..
