thats why said some msians are very short sighted......i can understand why they anti KIDEX.....but for MRT development they also opposed it, then really speechless......later all tis pipu better dun complaint why the road is getting more congested......

Just curious because someone pointed it out last time, majority of the people protesting against KIDEX is not really the younger generation.
Even my dad that went to the hearing and rally, said mainly is retired people that have participated in the rally and their complain is KIDEX would affect their current live hood.

But isn't that common in a growing city especially in the main cities?
Ultimately these highway are meant to reduce congestion and travel time which means more to cater to the need of the younger work force and generation.
So I'm curious why anti KIDEX?

NIMBY  cool2.gif

Also car centric urban development like building highway in urban centre was not a wise solution in long run because highway will eventually jam and inefficient bring down the travel time and just funnel the jam everywhere else. Pushing public transport development like LRT/MRT and BRT or even bus services with high frequencies were more sustainable in long run so people less rely on car and jam up the road

Completely agree with you on the agenda of pushing public transport to cater to the people and improve connectivity and infrastructure.
However realistically it is more likely they will build another highway...
We as Malaysian are too used to driving cars, just look at July 2025 - 76 Thousand new car.... That's one month!!!!
So I think it's no point pushing for an agenda with very little chance of it being materialize within a short span of time.
