Hi guys,it's me again smile.gif Sorry for disturb you guys smile.gif

I just want to ask is it worth to wait for amd R9 280X? I planned to buy zotac GTX760 before but now the R9 280X is quite tempting to buy it sad.gif May I know it takes about how long to be our Malaysia market? smile.gif

beside that,is amd graphic card still facing driver problems? Personally owned two amd gpu before and driver problems drove me crazy sad.gif (back in 5-6 years ago)
thanks in advanced smile.gif

I suggest you wait because some sellers (eg idealtech, Dotatech etc) will unveil the R9 280X pricing by tomorrow, check the price first before you decide which card to go.
Update: Gbros got the price already, https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2851121

I also very tempted to set up the r9 280x to my rig sad.gif but surfing around forum and google, found out that new batch of r9 280x with tahiti XTL would be release to replace the r9 280x with tahiti XT2 sad.gif that's why make me doubt to use the current r9 280x or sell it out and upgrade to other gpu sad.gif

I found out that lingloong sell msi 770 quite cheap sad.gif still cant make a decision :S

Actually in terms of performance GTX770 & R9 280X quite similar, should not considered as upgrade unless u want to get R9 290.

Not related to your graphic card, if your R9 280X can't handle then i don't know for those low range cards sweat.gif
From the net lot of gamers complaint about the crash especially when play multiplayer.

i think it is quite normal when running game lot of heat will emitted, u should worried if not heat emitted from your casing biggrin.gif
Meanwhile u can download those hardware monitoring software to check your CPU & graphic card temperature, what cooler do u used for your CPU? Your ASUS R9 280X DirectCU II TOP should be able to handle the heat, u can also setting the fan speed according to the temperature ratio

Sorry for forgot mention about my currently casing.
I'm now using Cooler Master Scout 2 with only one fan pre-installed on the back side exhaust as my budget quite limited at the moment,no money for the extra casing fans :S
*
There are few brands for 120mm casing fan quite cheap eg cooler master, cost around RM2X/pcs, just buy 2 install at the front of the casing will do.

Haha smile.gif but the heat emitted is so much higher than the previous set up sad.gif But the ASUS Fans is so much quiet smile.gif
I'm using HWMONITOR PRO(Trial version smile.gif ) and posted the screenshoot on the above replies already smile.gif I'm using Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO.
Previously rig the GTX560TI OC would produce a lot of noise when playing game compare to this ASUS sad.gif It might be AMD gpu vs Nvidia GPU? hmmm
Any specific brands that is cheap and useful?
I had posted the question at other forums and they suggest me to set up 2 exhaust on top,2 intake on front, one rear exhaust and two side intake,so all together 7 fans sad.gif
Wanted to buy the Enermax TB but it seemed to be out of budget =[
*
Your temperature look quite normal if u said running BF4 for half hour.
I myself using 3 of this for 2 x front intake & 1x back, bought at lowyat plaza RM20/pcs, my top casing putting radiator with 2 fans. Side fan no need la, will suck more dust into your case.

copy pasta from my thread

I haven't build a PC in more than 10 years, I'm very out of touch in terms of parts but I keep track of GPU launches every now and then.

So I have a budget of about RM5000, I'm building everything from scratch so this budget will include monitors, speakers, k/b & mouse and other accessories.

I'm building the PC around AMD's R9 290 GPU and looking forward to gaming @2560x1440 resolution.

I made a rough partlist at here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/23vaK

but it's already out of my budget range (after conversion), could any Sifu here be able to help squeeze in abit more? Thanks a dozen!
PS: are the listed parts available in Msia? if so please recommend any store to source them, I don't mind if its from Singapore as well

You should always refer to local store for pricing check, US always cheaper than Malaysia, i doubt you can get this spec at Rm5k in Malaysia
