If not mistaken, this MSI board does not have internal USB 3.0 headers, so the buyer should give it a thought before getting this one.
*
sad to say also Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 does not have internal connector for the front panel USB3.0. shocking.gif

Luckily my customer casing also got USB 2.0 ports plus one USB3.0.

I thought here is mainly for desktop builds inquiry.

Anyway, did you have a look at Asus A450CC? It comes with a few colours if i am not mistaken. It has been a long time since i sell notebooks or smartphones. Kinda "rusty" in giving recommendation.

It is not about only "worth or not". Does this system fulfill your purpose of getting the desktop?

It is a very nice build IMO for that budget.

Thanks!  thumbup.gif Sorry can I add in SSD and possible for a smaller casing like mini-ITX?

mitx motherboard typically are costly than recommended motherboard. pc hardware smaller does not meant it is cheaper. blush.gif

that build is considered a very good build for brand new units for ur budget.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. However, I'd like another suggestion to further suit my needs. As of now, I will only be playing DOTA2, so it is not as graphic intensive. I could use less of the GPU power, and allocate some allowance for Ducky Shine 3 and a gaming mice which I have not decided yet. (most probably at a maximum of RM200)

However, I'd like for this setup have room for upgradability later if I need higher GPU power. Is that possible?
*
I think invest in higher output PSU such as Corsair VS650 just to prevent any possibility of "power shortage" although newer cards should be power saving, but i won't know for sure which card you plan to upgrade.

Downgrade the mobo to something like Z77 G41, could save u at least RM150. Use this budget to get better PSU & monitor instead.
*
I agree with your opinion about downgrading motherboard, but it has to be B85 or Z87 chipset. Z77 is meant for ivy bridge.

kronos_fir18,

motherboard without "gaming" still can game well actually.

okay, maybe i can squeeze about rm 250 for PSU...
what is your suggestion then?
i actually fell in love with the dragon... not the 'gaming'. hahaha
gonna stick with z87 mobo.... heheh tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
PSU seems ok to me. it has lifetime warranty though if i am not mistaken.

It is just a motherboard bro. I think you should go with a casing with large side window so that you can "always see the dragon". No point hiding it in the casing. laugh.gif

Seems the PSU is very important. will try to go for superflower then. nod.gif
aesthetic is my 2nd priority for now.. Let the outside looks 'setinggan' and the inside looks like 'bungalow' LOL  thumbup.gif
most of the sifu's seem not recommended to buy <RM200 PSU.. hehe... need to topup albeit....
Hehe... Any suggestion on the casing that has larger window ?? tongue.gif
*
Acbel has lifetime warranty and i am not sure how long super flower warranty.

Anyway, no need to get big window. Maybe Cooler master 431 plus should do the job, but i always prefer Corsair 300R. It has so many slots for fan and its window is considered big for me.

Hello sifus,

Im trying to get these following build up. Does it look fine to you? I would like to reduce the price slightly more, can you suggest anything?

i5 4670K RM 720
MSI Z87-G41 RM 399
Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz CL.9 pair RM 318
Crucial M4 128GB SSD RM 335
WD Black 1TB RM 255
Corsair VS 550W PSU RM 190
Corsair Carbide 200R Case RM 244

Monitor HP W1972A x2 RM 259 x2
GPU MSI HD 7850 Power Edition OC RM 630

I plan on overclocking. With Jayacom price list, it all total to RM3600. sad.gif I was planning on keeping it below 3K

And also I need an aftermarket cooler for the CPU. Any suggestion? Roughly 100 to 200 price range?

I use it mainly for Photoshop and Adobe Premier work. But i also plan on using this to play BF4 and COD Ghost. Is it viable or overkill?
*
I think you should upgrade your graphic card to GTX760. that is much better. best buy graphic card for now.

SSD can wait for future upgrade as they tend to get cheaper in the long term.

RM 1200 graphic card? I dont think I need that much performance from my game. I just want one that can keep 50FPS on demanding games on High with AA off atleast.

I would prefer to invest in the SSD now. Its a work desktop more than it is gaming. the SSD comes in handy with its faster reads.

but thanks for the opinion. appreciate it.

FYI,

The GC i refer does not exceed RM1000 for Gainward with local warranty.

RM300 + - smile.gif
postage too heavy,cost a bomb sad.gif
I'm from KK sabah sad.gif my local store 300R without window=RM275,the price okay? sad.gif
*
Sadly that is true...

A very important reminder for you is to remember to ask your seller to measure based on dimension rather than weight. If your casing is bigger, it will be "heavier" if measure using dimensions.

300R is a casing i like very much among corsair casings, but without window? never seen 1 before till now.

Thanks for the reply smile.gif But if I'm not wrong, that day I saw one is without window one and I checked at corsair website, there is one that is non window version.

aha, thanks for the reminder but I think at the moment I would pick any casing available in my local stores as the postage would make the casing not worth it sad.gif

I'm now dilemma between 300R and storm scout 2 advanced by cooler master.the price difference is RM25 smile.gif what is your opinion on scout 2? smile.gif
Thanks for the clarification smile.gif By the way dude,Cooler master scout 2 advanced cable management compare to corsair 300R,is it far bad than the 300R? personally I more like towards the cooler master scout 2 advanced but nobody at the forum recommend it sad.gif so I afraid is there anything wrong there sad.gif
*
I always order the Corsair 300R without telling them it is windows version or not from local distributor, but always got window version so far.

I am not into cooler master casing yet. So no opinion on that.

Is Zotac a reliable brand?
How much is the price for a fixed cpu water cooling?
*
So far, most brand if it is not good, there will be signs of it floating around. I think given the warranty served for 5 years, the manufacturer is pretty confident about it.

I would recommend you to consider back Asus unit as it Direct Cooling technology is a proven good cooling system i saw so far. Same goes to Gainward PHANTOM.
