What I heard from CT is Swiftech H220 havent arrive MY yet, pretty bad since the demands are here for quite some time already. Mostly off to other prodcuts due to long wait.
*
It is coming real soon, BTW there's some good AIO-WC can be considered if you couldn't wait for long. brows.gif

Interested with this build since i can afford just up to this price. Never been building own rig. Maybe will try to build one and hopefully won't fail. Is there any tutorial on how to build the rig? Is there any store/mall that mentioned does delivery? Ayam staying in Sarawak, Miri.
*
Its actually very easy.

You can refer to the newegg guide in youtube if you are not so confident. smile.gif

Guys, I have an option to purchase these parts secondhand.

G.Skill Sniper 1600Mhz 2x4GB - RM120
WD Caviar Black 1TB - RM120
WD Caviar Green 2TB - RM120
Gigabyte GTX 680 2GB - RM900

Which CPU, Aftermarket Cooler, Motherboard, PSU, Case and Monitor would you recommend? Thought of using a 120/128GB SSD, but I think will be overbudget.

My budget is RM3,500, can top up extra if it's worth the money. Although the cheaper the better.
Also note that I don't have to buy the secondhand items.

This is my first build, and I'm going to use it for movies, games and coding. Games like Dota 2, eventually BF4 and other MMOs.

Thanks!
*
Did your budget includes the secondhand parts as well? If no,

i5-4670k - RM695 / i7-4770k - RM999
MSI Z87-G43 - RM429 / MSI Z87-G45 Gaming - RM533
Phanteks TC14PE - RM289
128GB Plextor M5S - RM299
Rosewill Hive 650M Bronze *Semi Modular* - RM295
NZXT Phantom 410 - RM349
Dell U2312HM - RM539

Total = RM2895/RM3303

Unfortunately, my budget includes the secondhand items as well. :/
I don't mind getting just one WD Caviar, and save up for an SSD.

I don't need an i7.
*
Not an issue since you can top up more budget.

i5-4670k - RM695
MSI Z87-G41 PC MATE - RM395
Phanteks TC14PE/CM Hyper 212 Evo - RM289/129+-
1TB HDD - RM199
Rosewill Hive 650M Bronze *Semi Modular* - RM295
Bitfenix Shinobi Window Black/Red Korean Edition - RM259
Dell U2312HM - RM539

G.Skill Sniper 1600Mhz 2x4GB - RM120

Isn't Rosewill Hive 650W Fully Modular though?
I'd rather spend a bit extra for a more quality case, as I plan to reuse the case. How does the Nzxt Phantom 410 compare to the Corsair 500r?
*
Its semi modular and it is value for your money compared with most of the quality brands.

Chassis is just up to your preference, no comments. smile.gif

How does the GTX 680 compare to the HD7950?

I'm thinking twice about buying a secondhand GTX 680 with no warranty left.
What's your thought on this?
*
Well, its very hard to define hardware components durability but you can place your bet on it.

So if you have enough budget why not getting a new one?

You may consider PALIT GTX770 at only RM1395, 2 years warranty or the impending Zotac GTX770 at nearly same price point, 5 years warranty.

what are the differences of GD 45 and GD 65?

Slight difference between both boards and more Sata III ports IINM.

I would just go for G45 for the affordable pricing, don't have to pay more for it. smile.gif

GD65
-batter phase power,
-2 more Sata3 port,
-Dual Bios,
-Dr-MOS- more efficient power distribution,
-V check points for multimeter,
-Power, Reset and OC Genie button on motherboard
-Super Charger - instant USB charging,
-Heatpipe heatsink.

Overall G65 is more for overclockers, most of the features are not necessary for common users. wink.gif

Hi sifus, my friend will be doing his master's in architecture and is planning to get a new rig. He's gotten some quotes from lowyat, and this is the best suggested rig by the sales assistant:

Intel i5-4570
Gigabyte H87-D3H
Kingston 4GB 1333 x2
Xigmatek Tauro 600W
Sapphire 7850 2GB
Seagate 750GB
LG DVD-RW 24x
Cooler Master Elite 311
AOC E2351FH 23in monitor

Total RM2790

Just wondering if the rig is good enough for his needs, and if the hardware is as good as the staff says they are - we're both noobs when it comes to hardware and PSUs.

He can push his max budget to around 2.9-3k. He'll be reusing his peripherals to save up some cash, so the max budget can be used entirely for the rig.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestion  rclxms.gif

Can the GPU and Xeon processor also handle games on high settings? There will be some gaming from time to time. The 650 is quite an old card right? I'm completely not familiar with Intel Xeon processors  icon_question.gif
*
What kind of games are you referring?

TBH it should able to play with all games, but definitely not high settings for demanding games.

Xeon is the best solution for your budget, likely an i7 performance, just slightly slower if put into comparison.
