QUOTE(+3kk! @ May 20 2013, 05:50 PM) i read that la, note: "may on the recommendation of the commission." & "may specify the minimum or maximum rates" this 2 lines sums it up, may allows for a lot of leeway, its a loophole if you may. in other words, post malaysia can charge as much as they want without seeking approval of the minister if no recommendation is given OR the minister sets a price too high. so a minister can set a price x1000% of current price, post malaysia increases at x400%. no problem post malaysia can also increase prices by 200% but no recommendation is given, minister cannot act. Ok la u win brah QUOTE(lucifer_666 @ May 20 2013, 06:44 PM) no problem with my browser |

Just read here, Pos Malaysia's profit has actually increased even before the international rate increased. Since the price increase, I have done NONE overseas business, the increase is ridiculous, if 20 or 30% I still can accept, but it is 200 to 400%!!

QUOTE(robeng @ May 21 2013, 11:18 AM) i try to say the process of any increasing rates in postal services are like this: To me, Pos Malaysia is kind of having monopoly in post service in Malaysia. It is unfair for us to compare the rate with other courier services like DHL, TNT because they provide fast service. For us, who do not mind slow mail and don't have big quantity, Pos Malaysia seems to be the only solution. If I am wrong...can somebody correct me because I am actually looking alternatives for Pos Malaysia surface service, slow with small quantity, of course cheaper price.1) pos malaysia recommend new tariff to the ministry 2) ministry will table it in cabinet meeting 3) if approved by the cabinet, then only minister will sign 4) to be gazetted 5) to be implemented there is no such thing pos malaysia can increase suka hati |

QUOTE(jAkUn @ May 18 2013, 11:44 AM) my company mmg use TNT for Malaysia. privatised but still denominated the national service and govt do have protection policies to them. why not open the national posting services market? believe other courier companies can also lower down their price if they also got the same "protection policies". quite good and fast delivery to your office i must say. now everything need to be privatised.. Hong kong and china post office got e-packet like service or more products/services for SME to foster the online biz posting. pos malaysia not share the same vision??? |
