That and imagine when you're monitoring the whatsapp thread in the morning. Open it when you're free in the afternoon and it says 199 messages unread

But overall, love the positive enthusiasm that everyone is showing for this ONE

Worked flawlessly when I transferred contents from my One X including messages.

Mine is the same like yours bro!!! I'm worried too. Plus my back aluminium and the plastic sides feels more rough to the touch compared to other HTC Ones.

Owh, and mine was made in China SH34.....

My aunt's HTC One is HT35.... So made in Taiwan in May. No problems. Checked it thoroughly. In fact, her phone's back, meaning the aluminium unibody and the plastic sides feels more smooth and polished. The chamfered edges on it feels smoother, looks more polished and is really shiny. Basically her phone 'shines' like it just got polished. Never noticed it until I compared my phone. Mine is kinda rough and dull. As if they were rushing through production and hence cut down on the time needed to polish the phone.

Mine took about 5 minutes. Around 120 songs, 500+ photos, few videos, lots of contacts, and about 12 messages. It's pretty quick overall.

I went to the Kelana Jaya SIS centre today in the afternoon. Told me I had to leave my phone there for about 3 days just to CHECK it. I mean come on, the screen is raised. Touch it and you will know. What else is there left to check? Then the receptionist also told me that they do not have any stocks at the moment. If my phone has been approved for an exchange, then only would they place an order from the warehouse. So basically, I would be phoneless for about 1 to 2 weeks. I left.... with my phone

SIS service centre at Kelana Jaya also said that they would require the receipt. I asked them, isn't the warranty card enough? He said he needs the receipt. He wasn't even bothered with the warranty card..... AT ALL

Not confirmed. The dude just ejected my sim card and wanted to bag my phone. I never even said I'd leave my phone there. I'm not gonna leave my phone there. This is my only phone now. Sold my One X yesterday

Yeah, I have the raised screen. I also just noticed recently that my china made HTC One serial number SH34... is much more rough on the plastic sides and the aluminium unibody back as well. The other 2 HTC One that I have played with have really smooth plastic sides and aluminium back. Felt much more sleek and contributed to the overall premium fit and finish. Both were made in Taiwan with the serial numbers being HT35.... as opposed to my china made set.

Owh, and I have a slightly(very minor) deformed lower speaker grill and volume rocker as well.

Not really. There are many users who are fine with their units without problems. They just aren't on the forum

Maxis and digi are pretty low on stocks last I heard. I know senheng and senq have a lot of stocks though. My local senq has about 7 units silver and 5 units black.

There are gaps and then there are GAPS. Which do you have? It's not bad if it's like 1mm in which you can't fit a hair in.

I'm not giving up yet. Since tomorrow is wesak day. I'll continue my pursuit for a better One on Tuesday. I've got studies and work to tend to in the mean time.
