so far only Storekini.com knows the actual price and the mysterious gift, top it up they are exclusive too and you get the phone at first hand.

All other retailers won't get it, even Nokia store, only you get it first, kind of like a VIP service and you can't expect the price to be just RM2.3k

Remember, this is a camera phone, ask yourself if you truly enjoy shooting photos or it might be better if photography is one of your hobby or professional work.

GN3, that big ass screen size phone is a smart phablet, it works for everyone and it is highly customizable.

Day 1 price with hyped smartphones really hit above RM2k mark mah unless you can wait.

I would say the RM2k+ would be a bundle, bundle with what? The grip of course! Few months later they will discard the bundle and introduces the "standalone" version, which is going to be, say... RM1.7k?

The grip will cost a lot and you'd probably think "I should've bought it earlier".

So, they better put this badass grip into the bundle.

Hahaha, what goes around comes around eh? Like WP7 days, Nokia Lumia 900 in particular.

The painful wasn't the core thing, it was the WP7.5 and announcement of WP8.

Pricing, like I have said before, what goes around comes around.

I've bought mine from mudah.my at about RM1,000 back in few months ago, the phone was still in it's pristine stage, no sign of any wear too I asked the owner why did he wanted to sell it off after 2 weeks of usage, he said he can't adapt WP8. (but it has now been a minor scratch on the screen since I don't apply any SP since day 1, no big deal)



For price to change, like any other smartphones (except iPhone) will face price drop (every 3 months) from my experience.

Is it worth it for current WP8 owners to upgrade to 1020? Let's see, (in my opinions)

+ You have never own a Lumia device before.
+ You want to test the superiority of ZEISS lens
+ You're going to print the photos out.

again, the only thing why I would change for 1020 would be lossless crop zoom(limited) and better bokeh, that's it.

Sure it's cool to see all those 41mp resampled photos uploaded to social networks but to be honest, nobody really cares. (Unless you have a lot of Lumia friends)

@Weirdguy, 920 is a very capable shooter itself if:

+ On a budget
+ Likely to change phone every year

Get 1020 if,

+ Taking really decent photos is your priority.
+ Decides to replace PnS/Mirrorless/DSLR with a one hand operated camera.
+ Always have to help wife carry shopping bags during travel.

I too thought of having a matte l920 red but I can adapt, so far finger prints aren't much of a problem since I have a pouch to clean it.

That aside, you can always put on a case if you like.

Indeed the yellow and red are glossy.
