Lack of exposure and marketing as well. Many of the normal non techy people i encounter still view Nokia as a non smartphone device. ("you still use Nokia ??")
It's either Apple/Iphone or Samsung (yes, they do not know what android is). IMHO, brand association is still king here. And then you also factor in trends/social factor/coolness/clique/peer pressure (instagram, apps) - all of which WP is currently lacking behind in. sweat.gif

strong camera competition from Honami and to a certain extent Note III (camera + all inclusive package). How well will the 1020 stack up ? Will 1020 still be marketed (and priced) as a niche device ? Hope not. And great news on the local app support from MSFT.

jonchai, the other mobile ecosystems support the features you mentioned ? I'm a pure Symbian user, and my other IOS and Android friends are all normal users, so i have no insight on the enterprise aspects of those.

If the 1520 can deliver pic quality higher than 925 but (slightly) lower than 1020 in "normal" point n shoot scenarios, that'd be great. The FHD screen and SD card support gets my vote over the camera tastic 1020.

Yup, will wait for price drop and 1520 announcement and decide then. Nokia took me for a ride twice already (N8 and 808), so i can wait just a little longer.

xSean Again, it's about perceived value. Many here don't think the 1020 is worth more than RM2k. For me personally, i think it should be priced RM1899 max. Or RM1799 if Nokia wants to gain more adopters.

Maybe Nokia is thinking :"hey, it's a niche product anyway, so we can't count on volume sales/fight against Samseng/Apple in this country. So let's charge the fans more so we can make more money rather than selling it cheaply. might as well."
