Hi all, I have 1 set of original Mobis Window Visor to let go. Just arrived yesterday. Brand new. Box also have not open.

Reason to sell is that my wife booked the same for me as a surprise. When the set I booked arrived yesterday, she was shocked why the package is under my name.

When I said I booked it 2 days ago, she said she booked the same thing. So by next week, I will ahve 2 same sets. Hence I want to let go my set.

Who is interested please feel free to PM me.

Have you noticed any spike in temperature for the compartment under the hood? What is the average temperature level on the indicator? During drive we have less concern. I think we are all concerned about the temperature during traffic jam.
*
May I humbly suggest for u to run an experiment by using a thermometer (if u have one, that is)?
U can idle ur car engine and leve the thermometer in under the hood (taped or fastened securely somewhere).
Once u have a good reading (3 reads/3 = average reading)..u can then repeat this experiment on another Forte which has the Skid Plate installed smile.gif

Saw this at the bottom of the front passenger's seat.  Any idea what this is?  and is it usual to be exposed like that?
*
Dude, the wires should be under your car carpet, not above it.
I'm guessing that this must've happened when the SA removed your seats to wrap them up in leather and overlooked to place the wires back in its original position before delivering your car.

Resolution: Go back to your SA and request for a proper fix under your supervision. Also make sure to tell them to place the washers when bolting the seats back again so that it won't rattle.

EDIT: I know it's a little mah fan/susah for a small matter, but I hope your car wash man won't damage the wires whilst he vacuums your carpet smile.gif

Bro, for this issue, I have an idea:

Try going to the hardware shops and get a reasonable thick rubber strip (something similar to the door strip which ppl stick onto the bottom of the house/room doors) + 3M double sided tape (the toughest kind u can find).

Then u remove the Orsen Skid Plate and stick the rubber strip all around the perimeter. This should solve the 'gap' issue.

PS - just a suggestion wink.gif

No lab test la. Just normal drive test. When I am at the mark of 1km before toll, I lift up my right leg. So approximately after 700 meter, I observe that the speed went down to 30km/h. By that time I need to accelerate again so that I don't crawl the balance 300m to toll.

So from now I had a mark to lift up my leg, so that the car roll by itself using momentum and not requiring me to accelerate again to toll gate. Or else accelerate all the way and hard brake.

Your description is pretty elaborate as well.
Would love to meet up with you over a TT session to compare notes/experiences.

In any case, keep up the spirit and good work.

P/S - how much did u get the Voltage Stabiliser for and is it plugged into your car via the 12v Power Outlet?

Dude, if I'm not wrong, JB has more potholes on their roads compared to KL. So, your 16' rim will do you good over there.
Unless the city council already upgraded all the roads, of course.

On another note, I'm looking/planning to install a car alarm system on the Forte. Do you guys know of any, besides the original KIA system, which is compatible with our existing SmartKey?

SUPER BAD experience with AZ Motor Seri Kembangan Service Center.
!!! the WORST service center and staff !!!!!

Bought a new Forte 2.0 from Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan in early 2013. Good experience with Mr.Edwin Loh. Fast approval and helpful SA.
However, since the day-1 i got my car, i noticed there is abnormal wind blowing noise on my front passenger door (when my speed is above 90km/j ) without door visor.

I went back to Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan for service during first 1000km, the mechanics claimed cannot detect the noise.

However, the noise still persistent and getting louder, anyone who sit in my car also noticed it. People keep asking me " why your brand new car got such a loud wind noise ?? "

Yesterday i went back to Kia AZ Motor Seri Kembangan requested to check for the abnormal wind noise sound again 1. After waited, the mechanic told me there was no wind noise. I insisted to test drive together with him again.

After second test drive with the mechanic, finally he noticed the noise and agreed that it is abnormal. He tried his best to detect the source of the noise and repaired it for me, however he failed to do so.

After waited for 4 hours, the lady at service counter (Named ?? Syasya) told me that it is a normal wind noise, nothing abnormal, nothing need to be repaired. I tried argue with this lady, told her that the mechanic also noticed the abnormal noise. This lady who does not sit in my car or involve in the repair of my car has now became the person explained to me and insisted my car is normal.

i feel totally hopeless and helpless. I am so disappointed with the service at AZ Motor (which i thought should be one of the Best). I chose to buy my car there (130km away from my house) because it is highly recommended at this forum. But turn out, ??? Just because they cannot fix it, they denied there is a problem

What can i do now????

Many of us bought our lovely Forte at Seri Kembangan AZ Motor and service there, so just to share with you what has happened to me.
i will NEVER go to AZ Motor Seri Kembangan for Service !!!!
i will not let mechanic with such attitude to touch my car, do not want to risk my life driving a car serviced by such people.

Any update/progress with the above?
I'm worried now because I'm one of the many customers of AZ Master Motors.

I do know that there are plenty of other SCs around for me to choose from, but as a customer and also a person of principles, I would much prefer some form of business continuity with the company/SA whom I bought my vehicle from.

Besides, as part of the promotion during the purchase of my vehicle, a 20% discount is provided for the first 2 Services @ AZ Master. I've so far used 1, with 1 more to go.

I've previously written a couple of comments in regards to my first 1K Service @ AZ Master 3S Center. Here's the link to the V17 Thread Page:

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2706564/+1180

I don't mean to dig up old issues here, but it seems that level of professional service from AZ Master has dropped(?). Too many new customers to handle? Or no time to layan old customers?

Can someone of authority from AZ Master 3S Service Center please come forward and provide some clarification?

PS - I know I may sound a little harsh with my words here, but pls understand the situation that I'm not a rich man and I don't change my vehicle every 1 or 2 years. It's a BIG investment/liability for me. Hence, I'd prefer if I could at least get some professional service from the people whom have earned a profit from my purchase and IS still earning because every time I service my car, I'm still paying them at a premium.

Additionally, the symbiotic relationship between a customer and SA/SC is a pretty complicated one.
If given a choice, I know some of the new car owners would prefer to have their cars serviced by non KIA 3S Centers (whom may provide a better and more professional service at a competitive price). This however is not possible, because NAZA KIA has tied the customers down with WARRANTY Terms & Conditions.
So you see the equation?
1) Customer buys car from SA (which has 3S Center).
2) SA promises the best and world-class service from his company to convince the customer and close the deal.
3) Due to the trusting/friendly relationship with the SA, customer opts to service vehicle at the same center and also recommends the SA to his friends.
4) SC Technicians provides unprofessional service through lackadaisical attitude.
4) Customer vehicle damaged/soiled/dirtied (regardless if minor or major).
5) Customer complains.
6) SA says customer is too choosy and fussy, forgetting that not everyone are millionaires whom buy cars like buying underwear.
7) Customer's friends experiences the same issue and now blames the Customer for misrepresentation and bad advice/recommendation.
8) Result? Customer = sad.gif and mad.gif ; Customer's friend = sad.gif and mad.gif ; SA/SC = Don't care as long as making a profit(?)

Sorry for the long winded post, I'm just really frustrated with people/companies making empty promises after I've parted with close to RM90K for a vehicle.

Customer's right is not always upholded in Malaysia, but customer has a freedom of choice. We can always opt for other SC which gives better service. It did not worry me at all.
*
Thanks for stating the obvious wink.gif
Like I said, I know there are plenty of other SCs available, but I'm a strong believer of principles.
The SA has sold us the vehicle due to his ability to convince us that he is offering the best (regardless if it is PRE or POST Sales) service.

Now that we've signed on the dotted line, things are taking a turn for the worse. Imagine how we, as a consumer feels?
While I may not know how the rest of you feel, I know I feel like I'm being suckered. And I can say that it's not a good feeling at all sad.gif

Compounding matters is the fact that we are recommending the business to other parties of interest.

Now, pls don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that AZ Master is not offering one of the best deals in town for KIA Vehicles, but for customers whom would like to have the 'complete'/end-to-end experience, it would be quite a disappointment.

In case you're gonna retort with the saying that "one can never please all", I'm not a person with unreasonable demands/expectations. I do understand that there may be differences of business-goals between the Management of the SC and the Technicians, but that should be something for them to work on and not allow such incidences to dent their company's reputation as a whole.

Anyways, I do hope that someone from AZ Master will come forward with an answer.
As of now, their silence is really deafening.

PS - Do kindly note that I'm not making a personal attack against anyone here. It's more of a request for a professional service of a reasonable level to be upheld.

QUOTE(khaier83 @ Jun 24 2013, 12:07 PM)
any particular tips how to detect a flooded car? do i need to pill out the original carpet?

will look closely into the engine bay before sign the aggrement  hmm.gif
*
There are quite a number of method.
In my opinion, however, one of the simpler way would be to check the footwell area of the vehicle.
The FORTE's footwell is usually exposed and not fully covered by the carpet. You can start your 'flood' inspection there.
Look for tell-take signs of dirt or mud in areas which the driver's foot will not usually reach (e.g. - crevices around the steering column, etc.).

Hope this helps smile.gif

My generalised opinion, there is no SC which will love your car like you do. They are not passionate on making your car a better one. They are just doing their 'work'. I have found one 3rd party servicing workshop (normal service, brake change, suspension change, brake hose, plugs, filters) which loves your car more than you do, but they can't do things like changing your gear box, overhaul your engines, change power window motors, etc.

I will go there for car health check every time after I service my car in Kia SC (for the warranty sake). After warranty ends, I will definitely be in this workshop for all servicing.
*
Bro, care to share which 3rd party workshop is this?
I'd like to go there too, if that's okay with you smile.gif

Pls PM me the details of this workshop, can?
Many thanks in advance.

Agree with what you said. Actually on the same day,  I went to talk with Edwin (my SA), Edwin said "dun push the technician too much, they have limitation. U try to figure out the abnormal noise origin from where yourself, then let them know. He even recommend me to try other SC"
No one from AZ motor apologize to me in my case.

Btw, If I know where the abnormal sound come from, I no need to ask SC to check.

We chose to buy from YOU bcos we believe YOU provide good service. After we get the car, noticed the defect, YOU said no worry, just enjoy the car, any problems can come back to SC. When we go back SC, they treat us and our car so badly. Now, YOU said service is different department. If SC can't help, go other SC la.

Haha, my feeling is YOU have earned the money, now the service is different. After sales service and before sales service are totally different.

Until now, I dun see AZ Motor respond to our post here.

I agree more..the tech just said "I cant hear the noise..It's normal"...izit bcoz their SC is next to hiway which make them deaf to hear the little noise..Then I drove my car with the tech to some small place to make the problems from my brake become clearer and even opened the window just to make them hear the sounds..so, why is the 1st thing they didnt open the window???

This is my exp with them for my 1st service 1k km..just to share with all of you..
*
Based on the statements above, may I propose the motion to remove (either permanently or temporarily, depending on the anticipated response from AZ Master Motors representatives) the recommendation sticky from the first page of this Forum/Thread?

I know this may seem a little drastic, but I truly believe that any prospective buyers reading this thread shouldn't be misled.

I apologise to any affected parties, but I do hope that all interested parties can address this issue together ASAP and in an amicable manner.

And I stress once again that I'm not expecting or requesting for a World Class Service here, just a service which is of an acceptable and reasonable level and with some form of professional integrity. Otherwise, there's no point asking your existing customers to blow your trumpet and recommend your service to the rest of the public.

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jun 26 2013, 11:57 AM)
No worries. Sales wise, they are superb. I do not think any one said or complained anything about their sales.

You can always opt for another SC if you do not feel like going to them.
*
Sorry bro. Again I'm not denying the fact that they are one of the best in terms of SALES.

However, pls remember that we are not talking about the purchase of daily vegetables or consumables here.

A motor vehicle is an asset (of depreciating value) which requires after-sales services and the expectation will be for the Sales People to at least play a part in it too.

What's the point in letting parties whom have no customers' interest at heart profit in our hard earned money when they provide sub-par after sales services?

Call me a fussy-pot or whatever you may, but I'm adamant that Sales and After-Sales Services should come hand-in-hand and at a certain acceptable professional level.

I apologise in advance if my statement above hurts any other parties whom are not directly involved in the matter.

QUOTE(wingchiew @ Jun 26 2013, 12:06 PM)

If we are not denying AZ'a ability in selling you the car, there is no need to take out the sticky on the first page IMHO. He does deliver your car without hassle. No one complained about his sales. Some of us somehow hate his SC but I still see people going there when I was there 3 times (for other purposes other than servicing). We could put on another sticky with dates on where to service our car, with our experience shared.

I personally see no benifit in this end to end service if what have been warned did not improve. Yes, he earned your comission because he is worth it. He delivers your car. On time. But if his SC sucked, I am not going there so that he can't earn my money from labour and parts (engine oil, ATF are all super marked up). If no one goes, his SC is going to lingkup.

I personally feels that if in one restaurant for example, the chicken is best of the rest, but his tofu and vege sucked, I am still going there for my chicken. I just don't order the tofu and vege.

If you have been warned, and you still go there for servicing because you believe in principle, then you are either very hard headed, plain dumb or forgotten that we have rights to choose. Complain kao kao and spread the words of the bad attittude in here so that every one can take note. That is what we are doing now. If this goes on without improvement/ rectification, his SC is going to close down, and by that time he only does sales. So by that time, are you still going to buy car from him?

Well, my personal opinion la hah...No offence. My principle too.
*
biggrin.gif LOL'ed at the Chicken, ToFu and Vege story, but you have made an extremely good point here.

I agree that the sales and service is somewhat a separate issue. It's just that during the sales talk (pre-signed agreement+deposit), it was mentioned to me that the 3S Center is a place offering good service and with discount if I should purchase the vehicle from the SA.

Anyways, I'll be making serious considerations and switch my designated SC to somewhere else (Kinrara or Glenmarie).

Rightly said thumbup.gif

Also, for those whom are interested to find out more on the correlation between the Fuel Octane Level (RON*) and your car engine compression ratio, pls click on the link below. It provides one of the best and simple description of the matter, among all the articles which I've read over the years:

http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/octane-ra...r-infiniti.html

RON* = Research Octane Number
KIA Forte 1.6 Engine Comp Ratio = 10.1
