Seriously bro. Mine also 3gS. Mine must have been deteriorating after some time. The quality is bad even with high level of light.

My generalised opinion, there is no SC which will love your car like you do. They are not passionate on making your car a better one. They are just doing their 'work'. I have found one 3rd party servicing workshop (normal service, brake change, suspension change, brake hose, plugs, filters) which loves your car more than you do, but they can't do things like changing your gear box, overhaul your engines, change power window motors, etc.

I will go there for car health check every time after I service my car in Kia SC (for the warranty sake). After warranty ends, I will definitely be in this workshop for all servicing.
*
I still send my car to SC though my warranty expired more than a year ago tongue.gif

*
Not sure yet bro..i just read it in the comment section, might be not true regarding the price for the 2.0SX. Just wait & see on this coming July 2nd, 2013

Question here. KIA Cerato (K3) will be released this coming July 2013. Is that mean The Forte will be totally obsoleted and no more in production line?
*
Yupp..i believe so.

If you know good mechanic then OK. I sent my wife myvi to outside mechanic. They are just rojak simply pasang cap ayam brand spart parts and gave me problem. Of course cheaper. Later, end up I have to send back to perodua and fix everything. RM100-200 more expensive but give me rest in peace.
*
Absolutely agree with u bro. In my case, if i did sent my car to outside mechanic, i will buy all original parts by myself (which is usually cheaper). So in this case, i will save my money on cheaper ori parts & cheaper labour. The only thing that i might miss if i send my car to outside mechanic is the engine diagnostic & tuning (if needed).

However, most probably i will stick with SC for now..peace of mind as u said tongue.gif

Can any 2.0 driver share a stock idling rpm?
*
About 800rpm during cold start (about 1 minute after ignition) & about 600rpm when the engine is warm enough or after after a drive.

Planning to change my oem forte rims to a sporty aftermarket rim of same size(17"). Will this void my warranty?
*
The most that might void is the suspension warranty..else is not related to this

New KIA Cerato pricing is now officially confirmed

Cerato 1.6L - 99,888 OTR
Cerato 2.0L - 118,888 OTR.

Wooo..i can imagine that the current Forte will be hot in 2nd hand car market after this. I believe it will do good to the resale value of the current Forte brows.gif

if this is confirmed, hope d forte wont be stop in production as i believe many forte wannabe will opt it than the new Cerato due to d price..n if it still be continue if thr is demand, hope the price will remain d same..*finger cross*..argh...cant wait to get my own forte, but still got matter to settle with d bank 1st...sigh..
*
If u really wanna buy a Forte, i suggest u to place some deposit, so that the SA can reserve 1 Forte for u before he's out of stock. I believe many still waiting for the official announcement of the K3 price in order to decide whether to get the K3 or the Forte. So i'm quite sure that many will jump to buy the current Forte due to the much higher price of the K3 (almost 100k for the 1.6) & will run out of stock quickly sweat.gif

thank you for the advice..really appreciate it..yes,i do believe many still waiting for d new price to be announce in newspaper as many will believe it..currently in kk still got stock and can get full loan some more...isnt dat foreign car need 10% dep?or becoz it has naza badge on it dat make it consider as part of local car manufacturer?
*
No need to know that bro..if we can get the car by full loan, it's a good option for us right? If we got 10% or more deposit, better pay it rather that taking the full loan for our own sake (usually full loan = high interest rate)

Not really, KIA has bad record in the past so it is not weird if people worry on it.
Other manufacturer keep the record good therefore no worry.

Anyhow, worry is useless now but just for discussion purpose.

In the past, NAZA did not manufacture KIA car here. So most (if not all) spare parts came imported from its country origin in which i have to agree that spare parts availability & cost is in jeopardy.

Since that NAZA CKDed the Forte here in Malaysia, i believe that most of the spare parts should be easily available here in years to come smile.gif

No one dumping your current Forte for K3?  tongue.gif

If 4 speed, still ok to dump.  tongue.gif
*
Not worth i believe though for the 4-speeder (especially becoz of the much higher price of the K3)..will dump for the next gen K5 perhaps. Better upgrading to the D-segment instead of switching to another C-segment car brows.gif

Price difference between the 2.0 K5 & K3 is about 25k now. For me, i would go for K5 anytime..hehe
