QUOTE(Jemi @ Jun 5 2013, 05:32 PM) Wondering how much it will cost for 2.0 Forte..anyone? Quite interesting if the price is right. But if it did cost us 13k for this turbo kit..too much i believe. I better wait until 2014-2015 when our fuel uses Euro 4/5 standard & buy a factory-fitted turbo car instead. That car is 1.6 Forte..test drive that car might be a good way to justify its worthiness. QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jun 7 2013, 02:34 PM) Well, selling price shall be calculated as selling only. Interest rate differs and it is not fair to compare promo and second hand car rate. It is only fair f we sum up all the charges and fees as total selling. There was a post from Bro Iz saying that the 4 speed, 2010 - 2011-ish car (I cannot remember), not registered and new, is selling at 6% depreciation rate from RM 81500. So this one in mudah is not normal. 9 months car. 20k difference. Its 2012 car actually & i believe the car has been sold already coz no more seen at the showroom This post has been edited by izputra: Jun 9 2013, 05:01 PM

QUOTE(dark.knight @ Jun 11 2013, 12:46 PM) It broke. The fuel level dropped to 0 suddenly, one service centre said it is very common for fuel gauge to fail after around 70K km, but another Kia workshop say it is not the case. Sent in for checking this morning, fuel pump failed. >< Fuel gauge failed after around 70k km is not common i believe..unless for Proton cars (speaking from own experience). 1 more thing is, fuel pump failed should has nothing to do with the fuel gauge..2 separate system from my understanding (at least for an analog fuel gauge like Forte) (EDITED) This post has been edited by izputra: Jun 11 2013, 02:37 PM

QUOTE(siewstl @ Jun 11 2013, 12:58 PM) Do not frighten me. Is it really common ? I am getting worry for driving Forte now. No need to worry bro..fuel pump or any mechanical parts on whatever cars will fail at some point & in most cases will not impose any dangerous situation if we dont panic & able to maneuver the car properly to the road side. No mechanical parts is fail proof right?

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jun 11 2013, 02:25 PM) The main reason for the fuel pump to fail might be the bro over there is always running on low level fuel tank. Always force the pump to run even if the fuel indicator blinks. Alot of factors. Exactly right...

QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jun 11 2013, 10:59 PM) cant do that for now.. I just change to a set of 17' rim few months bck.. 3 of my ori rim got dented and the tyre shop told me forte ori rim is prune to this.. Change to 16" rims + 55 profile tires proves to increase driving comfort rather significantly (i did that). But somehow, it will still not feel as comfy as the suspension setup on Persona or Preve (as u mentioned) becoz Forte got sports tuned suspension to complement the stock 17" rims with low profile tires.

QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jun 12 2013, 11:29 AM) side track a bit.. whenever i release the accelerator, I'll feel that my car momentum is still moving very fast ahead.. something like the accelerator is still being pressed and the speed will decrease very slowly.. most of the time, I need to press the brake from a far.. I ask the question to the SC and they said it's normal.. something to do with drive by wire for the acceleration.. I can't really comprehend on this.. is this something normal? It's normal. As long as the car doesn't consume fuel (when decelerating in top gear), it means that the car decelerating normally using momentum rather than powered by fuel (u can check the Instant Fuel Consumption meter for confirmation). U just need to get use to it..need to decelerate earlier. I did face the same thing when upgrading from Waja last time This post has been edited by izputra: Jun 12 2013, 11:39 AM

QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jun 12 2013, 02:07 PM) Hi izputra/lingleeyen, Thanks for the response on this.. Still not used to this and always do hard breaking.. since it's normal, guess I've to get used to it.. Yupp..i'm sure u will get used to it when time goes by Somehow i like this 'feature' becoz it can saves fuel by decelerating earlier.

QUOTE(tryifelsecatch @ Jun 12 2013, 02:15 PM) i think yours 2.0 ? more powerful probably... but it doesn't sounds right if you already release and speed is not dropping. maybe you can track with a GPS also. From his previous post, he did mentioned that the speed is decreasing, but not at his expecting decelerating rate as his previous car

QUOTE(Buydirect @ Jun 15 2013, 01:32 PM) The new Cerato 2.0 is easily 20K higher than current Forte 2.0. It's quite subjective. If you go for value for your money, Forte 2.0 is still a good buy. Ultimately, it also boils down to the design that you like. If your statement holds true..then our Forte RV should be on a high side

If u concern about the comfort level, all i can say is yes..the comfort level is increase quite significantly & most of the time i dont bother to hit a pothole..lolz. QUOTE(blunderboy @ Jun 17 2013, 09:42 AM) I think my rear absorbers already kaput... Few days hear sound like my tires hit the fender when lalu at the road bump... Dem... If sure absorbers kaput, better change it fast. Else, u might need to change the tire also becoz of the uneven & wavy tire thread (due to kaput shock absorbers) This post has been edited by izputra: Jun 17 2013, 10:08 AM

QUOTE(rainsplit @ Jun 17 2013, 10:09 AM) Bro Iz, u think change to aftermarket sportsrims or look for original forte 16" rims?? Which one is better? I'm just afraid if aftermarket ones cannot tahan or will effect the performace only..mine is 1.6 btw Original Forte 16" rims looks too dull for me..but yeah, the specs is match (offset, width etc.). Anyway, i chose an aftermarket one which is nicer to look at & the most important thing is, it is much lighter (though the specs not 100% follows the manual). The lighter aftermarket rims might not be as tough as the original rims, but since that the tire sidewall is increase (using 205/55 profile tire), it is unlikely to dent or damage due to potholes etc. (unless when the tire pressure is too low). In term of performance, since that my after market rims weighing only 7kg/rim (compared to 11kg of the ori 17" rims), it did effect the car's performance, in a good way i mean. I instantly notice better acceleration from a standstill & from my observation, also saves fuel in town driving. But, by changing to 16" rims, we need to sacrifice a bit on the overall sportier looks of the car & also a handling & braking performance.
