QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 24 2013, 07:28 AM) 4.2.2 different file structure vs 4.1.2 so all your stuffs will wipe clean when you flash it I already did a full wipe (on my own) when i updated from 4.1.2 to old 4.2.2 leak (UFME3).You can see the difference using any file manager This is to accommodate multi user You as main user will be sd0 Upgrading from UFME3 to UFME7, it auto-wipe itself |

I feel that performance and battery life is significantly better with new 4.2.2 leak (UFME7) compared to old 4.2.2 leak (UFME3).
Especially lockscreen effects and smoothness when opening/closing apps |

QUOTE(droidtrix @ Jun 25 2013, 12:56 PM) I might try this leak 4.2.2 as many say that battery life are better compared to 4.1.2. And I also read in few other forum that the Official 4.2.2 will be out in July / Aug. Is it true? I suggest you wait for the official 4.2.2.There's nothing much that's new or must-have from 4.1 to 4.2.2. I have a strong feeling the official 4.2.2 will only come around mid july or early august QUOTE(xgnesh93 @ Jun 25 2013, 11:51 AM) I also flashed this new leak version but after one day, it lags for few seconds for every apps i open, any particular reason why it is happening? Try clearing dalvik cache QUOTE(nokia6280 @ Jun 25 2013, 01:59 PM) Going to install it and test now. Will post the results as soon as I'm done |

QUOTE(Deznom @ Jun 25 2013, 04:18 PM) In my experience (with friends phones)1. Power Saving mode on 2. You must ONLY clear apps from the multitasking panel (DO NOT USE TASK MANAGER TO KILL) 3. Do not free RAM using task manager 4. Custom launcher (i think it's because touchwiz is still running in the background even when using custom launchers) |

in my opinion, benchmarks don't mean anything.
The galaxy S4 can score super high in benchmarks, but the overall smoothness and fluidity of the OS is not as smooth as other phones (xperia Z, Htc One). It's really a matter of whether or not the performance is optimised for the phone or not. Plus, in my experience when our phones first came with 4.0.4, the benchmark scores were higher (I got about 6.9k in Quadrant back then). Then when 4.1 came out, the benchmark scores were lower (Quadrant gave me 6.2k with Jelly Bean) but I felt that the performance of the OS was significantly smoother. Apps loaded faster and homescreen felt smoother. Probably due to Project Butter and perhaps some optimisation too |

It's all a matter of what you're interested in i guess. S4 laggy and not as smooth, but it's by far the most feature filled phone. ever

QUOTE(normeck @ Jun 26 2013, 12:11 PM) guys, how to format/clean up your phone? wipe data/factory reset not wipe all the program inside..i want it be back as virgin as it be... you can't wipe your phone without losing your apps.If you want your apps to be intact, the most you can do it factory settings reset, which really doesn't make any difference in terms of speed |

Hey everyone! I'm planning to help buy a new phone for my sister.
Planning to buy it from Satu Gadget Dot Com https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2287403&hl= Just wanna ask, has anyone bought from this seller before? If got, how is your experience with the seller? Thanks for your replies! |
