FINALLY!!
here's the awesome app that can 'fix' the camera issue. previously i tried, but it only work once, and subsequent use of it is useless.

i realize the reason is superuser permission. the default SU manager in aokp did not grant SU for that app. need to install SuperSU by chainfire in play store.

after superSU give that app SU permission, it work flawlessly.
everytime if encounter camera failure, just launch it. within one second the camera will work again. better than wait 1 minute restart phone.
i set it as one of my nav ring shortcut for easy access.

works on stock samsung rom too. happily back on aokp. 

I wanna know hows s3 FOR U GUYS? i have friends complaining their s3 sometimes laggy.
Im considering either s3 or note2.

Is it s3 rom not good? or processor or ram?
Custom rom will solve laggy of s3?

Not sure what's the hype about Samsung 4.2 in s3

aosp rom are better for me.
Don't think I will flash touch wiz rom again on s3

~led customization, fading effect is good. Those paid app doesn't even come close.
~on screen keys. Very intuitive and make phone usage a lot faster

Why you guys like touch wiz?

in my opinion, benchmarks don't mean anything.

The galaxy S4 can score super high in benchmarks, but the overall smoothness and fluidity of the OS is not as smooth as other phones (xperia Z, Htc One).

It's really a matter of whether or not the performance is optimised for the phone or not.

Plus, in my experience when our phones first came with 4.0.4, the benchmark scores were higher (I got about 6.9k in Quadrant back then).

Then when 4.1 came out, the benchmark scores were lower (Quadrant gave me 6.2k with Jelly Bean) but I felt that the performance of the OS was significantly smoother. Apps loaded faster and homescreen felt smoother. Probably due to Project Butter and perhaps some optimisation too

I was running on stock 4.1.2, data and wifi on all day, can last max 15hrs only.
Now with UltimaROM dunno how long can tahan

Mine got roughly extra 40% lifetime compared to stock.

Sot i posted here before got 5hrs with 15hrs total usage. This is with data turned on and wifi auto connect enabled. This is light usage, just messaging whatsapp.. if moderate usage with web browsing and so can get around 10hrs. Im a power user mind u... so my moderate maybe ranked as high for normal users i think
