I'm travelling to China soon for leisure, I hope this comes on time.
It will help me during my travel there...

I'll be flying off on 17th Oct.

I need one when I go travelling this time especially I will be on my own most of the time.
Need to refer to the subway routes, trains and flight schedule.
Not forgetting the direction... Plug in a China telco SIM card and pair up with VPN, I think I will be able to survive there for a week.

How is that cheap?

Anyone feel the heat at the back of device when use it for some times? Just browsing the web and play some light game such as candy crush.

If I continue use it definately will be more than an hour. Maybe the processor power has contribute to the heat. Still prefer to use my iPad mini. Way cooler. Of course lower CPU power but browsing net or watch movie do not need higher CPU. 

I think it is quite hard to find in malaysia now since this technology is still new to us. But here is the link if you wish to buy it online, it costs you 30usd btw.

i long time edy say good by to XMBC, lack of their hardware accelerated. now im not sure since im happy with MX player.
able to play 1080 thru network/NAS also with hardware accelerated.

all videos/subtitle/etc so far great. ui also simple.

I recommend aaronc's shop in SS15 Subang Jaya. RM 1199 only and I was supposed to get from him but instead bought a Note 3 from him. Superb service.

You need to untick gps if not in used... This due to some application especially google now will use gps to determine your location.. Enable the wifi and mobile location to provide location for google now and other needed apps should be enough. GPS consume the battery the most.

what other browser do u guys recommend? chrome seems to be laggy. not that smooth. I'm replacing iPad 4 with this nexus 7. So I want to browser as smooth as safari. Not rooted..

my son also bought  a nexus 7 2013 from this shop, this was the first time we deal with them, I have to admit the price they offer is a bit cheaper compare with other shops selling RM1229 / RM1245 and senQ RM1299 with 2 yrs warranty, but i will not recommend my friends to buy gadgets from this shop and i also definitely will not deal with them again.

there were 2 staffs in the shop when we went, the one who served my son is really conceited and bad-mannered, poor service...truly speaking there is no service provided at all! what the customers have to do are just paying money> grab the products > leave!!!

that day my son asked if he could see the tablet and the staff said yes, my son incidentally tore the wrapping paper off the sealed box but still not yet tear off the seal, and was told he MUST buy the tablet! the man talked-back to my son: "Just now u said u want this ah!"  he dun even give an advanced warning! later on my son asked few question about the tablet, that man jus looked at my son with an impatient face showing "why you ask these questions"....  what we can do then? so we just paid for the tablet and left the place! 

Im not taking sides but from this incident, the seller can give whatever bad manner service as they offer the cheapest in the market. Of coz, at point of seller view, i will not do that coz customer is the king and no matter what price i'm going to throw, the market will tell.

Hopefully, the seller read this and at least pm the buyer an apology note on the bad service.

Come on guys, this is the far most good tablet and we dont want any bad incident to affect the mood of owning it...cheers!

Yes, it does. But maybe I'll delay root for now, on second thoughts. KitKat 4.4 will be out by the end of this month (if not sooner), so I'll just delay root till then.

Is it still US set or now selling Msia set? Sorry for outdated question. Haven't been following the news lately.
