RM 1,199 is the cheapest I found for 32GB LTE, about to reserve for myself but eventually got Note 3 from the same seller. Still not too bad.

QUOTE(thunderbird @ Oct 6 2013, 12:36 PM) In overall, DiGi's speed is totally a joke, regardless it is 3G or LTE.Don't get me wrong, my main line is DiGi though I have SIM cards for all telcos. But my LTE broadband is powered by 2xLTE lines from Maxis. |

Nexus 7 II LTE is a great device. I wanted it long time ago but it wasn't released that time... By the time it was released, it came at the same time as Note 3. Since I will need additional phone that supports calls and etc. when I'm in overseas assignment soon, I bought Note 3 instead.
It is a good piece of device and will not hesitate to recommend anyone who is looking for a tablet to go for Nexus 7 2013. Extremely well-worth for the money spent. This post has been edited by fruitie: Oct 7 2013, 02:08 PM |

QUOTE(66p99 @ Oct 8 2013, 01:06 PM) my son also bought a nexus 7 2013 from this shop, this was the first time we deal with them, I have to admit the price they offer is a bit cheaper compare with other shops selling RM1229 / RM1245 and senQ RM1299 with 2 yrs warranty, but i will not recommend my friends to buy gadgets from this shop and i also definitely will not deal with them again. there were 2 staffs in the shop when we went, the one who served my son is really conceited and bad-mannered, poor service...truly speaking there is no service provided at all! what the customers have to do are just paying money> grab the products > leave!!! that day my son asked if he could see the tablet and the staff said yes, my son incidentally tore the wrapping paper off the sealed box but still not yet tear off the seal, and was told he MUST buy the tablet! |

QUOTE(kimmo88 @ Oct 11 2013, 01:42 PM) For Maxis: RM 15 is affordable, rather than signing up a new data plan. http://new.maxis.com.my/content/maxis/en/p...are-n-surf.html But got to pay $15/month/device!!! I rather share using WIFI hotspot on my phone. Do I really need LTE version of nexus 7 then? QUOTE(icelight7 @ Oct 11 2013, 10:20 PM) Yes, need Maxis plan first before adding SIM card. |

QUOTE(icelight7 @ Oct 11 2013, 10:27 PM) I have family package plan (postpaid). Is that counted? You will need to have 2GB or more data plan subscribed first before can do this.Btw family package got free data? I cannot find in the net. http://new.maxis.com.my/content/maxis/en/p...lans:sharensurf |

QUOTE(kimmo88 @ Oct 12 2013, 01:26 PM) I found the answer here. Looks like you need new 4G/LTE supported sim card.. Only if you cannot detect LTE, then you will need to change. Else, you are not required to change as Maxis has registered many old SIM cards into LTE HLR.Good to share this info with everyone: https://forum.maxis.com.my/forum_topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14156 |

QUOTE(kimmo88 @ Oct 12 2013, 02:33 PM) Thanks for your feed-back. So it depends if your old sim is registered with LTE HLR? You will only know when you plug in your sim into nexus.. BTW, what's HLR? Yes. But if you can change, then change, no harm because that guarantees you are having LTE enabled SIM card. HLR = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_Location...ister_.28HLR.29 It is basically a hub that stores all the SIM cards' details and etc. |

QUOTE(kimmo88 @ Oct 12 2013, 02:46 PM) Well, I think it makes more sense for Maxis to register existing sim into HLR, rather than asking customer to change new sim. Well, registering old SIMs into new HLR only happens in the recent few months, not sure if they have completed this exercise. Long time I didn't check this with my engineer colleagues. I changed mine much much earlier when LTE was rolled out and immediately I got LTE while others had to wait for some time. Being the usual kiasu me. Changing a SIM is as easy as ABC these days, immediate activation. Anyway, of course nothing beats the convenience of using back the old SIM. If you are in LTE area and cannot detect LTE (providing using LTE device) from your SIM, you have no choice but to change to a newer batch of SIM. Good luck!
