I think Awesome Note is very nice but it is exclusive to Samsung devices at the moment.

The new Nexus 7's speakers are really awesome - loud and clear - much better than the first Nexus 7 and Tab 7.7. Love the new material on the back too, very nice to touch and hold. It is very much like the HTC Desire finishing.

Dun think the problem is so serious. Both my first and second gen N7 is problem free so far...touchwood.

dun think the first gen can be modded to make calls. Since you are not going to use it as phone, why bother by this anyway. Just get a Samsung Note 8.0 if deep inside your heart, you think you will need to make some phone calls with it someday somehow.

haha.. just teasing you. Your mindset is typical potential buyers' mindset - try looking for issues, problem, or some nitpick features, etc., like some bros mentioned in the earlier pages of this thread.

Once you bought it, then only you realise why you do not buy it earlier.

Btw, i actually din notice there is any improvement on the screen reso compared to first gen, placing the 2 side by side. But after using it for about 2 weeks, i pick up my first gen Nexus 7 again yesterday night then only i realised the first gen screen is kinda grainy - can notice the lower res screen effect now.

Received my Nillkin case from tskhor today. 99% same as Asus original case but only half price. It feels thinner and the texture smoother than the Nillkin case for first gen N7. Has auto sleep function too.

coz i will sign up for the Maxis RM15 Surf & Share to utilise my wife's 3GB data quota. She doesn't use much data but I normally max out my Surfmore 75 5GB quota.

With Note 3 kinda warm even not in Mobile Hotspot mode, I think getting the cellular version of the N7 is a much better choice than using the Note 3 to tether. But most importantly, someone want my 2012 Nexus 7 32GB.

Bought one from them on Monday, courier out today, arriving tomorrow. My second N7 2013, first unit is WiFi only direct from US.

Got my LTE 32GB version from Superbuy today.

RM799 is not bad at all. I have both models - the only noticeable different is the much better screen and slimmer and lighter profile. But the 2012 screen is not too bad either.

din see anyone complain here yet. Both my WiFi and LTE version does not have such problem....*touchwood*... Among millions of Nexus 7 sold, there will be some lemon units, so dun be too worry if you are thinking of getting this little awesome toys.

yes, can't agree more. Got a wifi version from US bulk in garage during the launch and just got another local set with LTE last week. Has been using the LTE version naked with just simple leather sleeve for the past few days. It is really slim and light. Using it to surf and youtube more than my Note 3.

Maxis just activated my secondary sim under the Share n Surf plan i applied last Thursday, super long time taken - full 4 days of waiting.

No such issue in both my wifi and lte version. Something wrong with some of the apps you installed i think.

shoot them an email, it might speed things up. I ordered and paid mine on Monday last week, shot them an email Wednesday to ask why it is not shipped yet and they promptly replied the item will be sent out that day. And item received by me the next day, i.e. last Thursday. So only 4 days from i ordered and paid till i received the item.

But my Note 3 accessories are not so fast. They did send an email to inform the shipment will be delayed though.

luckily i bought from Superbuy. Thought wanted to buy from him at the garage but saw his status not login here very frequent. I only buy from sellers that are active in the garage, best is 24/7.
