it was realigned to capture HSR as a heavy duty radial line. it also captures BM but HSR was the reason. mnrt2 now takes people from HSR straight to TRX and the city; something that mrt3 would not have done for HSR passengers.

the eastern part of the original alignment was actually low ridership which can be dealt with by the mrt3 circle line which will now be re-aligned to suit.
