The main reason Thiago wants to change club is because he wants to play. Bayern have abundance of talent in midfield compared to Barca.

Defensive midfielders: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez, Luiz Gustavo, Toni Kroos, Emre Can, David Alaba.

Right wing: Arjen Robben, Thomas Mueller, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Left wing: Franck Ribery, Shaqiri, David Alaba.

He was actually talking in the sense of the whole team structure.

We have adequate striker. RVP, Chicharito, Welbeck. Kagawa can play behind there also.

We are short of wingers due to Nani is inconsistent. Zaha is not final product yet. Young prone to injury. Valencia a beast but somehow have become a meh.

Mata is a great addition. While Rooney? I like his professionalism but don't like him since 2010 due to what he said to SAF.

Oh yeah. You said that Rooney can play every position. That's true. But he only wants to play as striker and being the main man. No less than that.
