There's nothing Barca can do once a club trigger the buyout clause. This is call bad management by Barca. They should let Thiago play the certain amount of playing time so that the buyout clause stay intact but only letting him play a small amount of playing time, the buyout clause have decrease from 90M to 18M.

Only Thiago can decide where he will be playing and once he set his mind on a club, nothing Barca can do except trying stalling the process or persuading the player himself
