QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Jun 15 2013, 12:28 PM) Yeah of course. Not necessarily means U21 players. But these u21 are supposed be the next generations of players. The way he transformed Baines into one of the best LB in the world from Wigan is amazing. I have much respect for DM too All those players who are above 21 need more playing time but will their clubs grant them that when rich clubs nowadays prefer well established names and / or foreign talents. That's why I like DM because he can managed Everton on a limited budget. Plus he give chance to young players to prove themselves. |

DM officially starts work on the 1st of July. You expect him to go shopping before he officially taking over the office? The ball has not even been kicked yet and already making up assumptions about DM.
Arsene Wenger has 70mil to spend and yet to make even one signing. Let the boss do their work. |

Plenty of rumours spreading like hot cakes already. Looks like The Sun is first off the press. Ronaldo is very close to rejoin us already. Now waiting for Perez to make an official statement regarding this issue.
As for #7, if Ronaldo rejoins, he will request for #7 since he already trademarked CR7. Even his clothing line+Nike carries the brand CR7. Up to Ronnie to liase with Valencia now. I pity Anto thou. |

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Jun 17 2013, 11:44 PM) heard nike gonna help raise the cash aka subsidize for the transfer money?....i guess they forsee can make lotsa money with that trademark CR7 brand.... He IS the David Beckham of Nike. Nike has the funds, watching their star donning a rival kit is too much to bear. Ronaldo can recoup the $ Nike spent within two seasons. |

QUOTE(konichiwawa @ Jun 18 2013, 11:30 AM) Well, I can think of a few reasons. Both players have pros and cons. Commercial value, Ronaldo is the one. And Nike will help fund the deal, leaving cash to spare in the reserve, unlike Bale where all of thr funds would be used up because no one to fund. Ronaldo has European experience, scored an astonishing 201 goals in 203 appearances unlike Bale, too early to tell since he is only 23. 1. Younger 2. Seems to better in a team based approach 3. Command less salary Just my 2 cents. If either 1 joins Man Utd, I'd be a happy man =) I would still prefer if United sign Bale now and wait for Ronaldo to join us for free in 2015. Then we will have 2 incredible players at our disposal. Okay back to reality, it will never happen. |

QUOTE(O-haiyo @ Jun 20 2013, 08:44 AM) another thing is will thiago able to handle the physical side of bpl. he is quite small. Small is good. Can weave in and out. Mata is small too, adapts pretty well at Chelsea. I think Thiago will fit well in our midfield.also are we suited to his playing style? or vice versa? we never had a player of his style before. i'd welcome him anytime but preferred fabregas over anyone else. of course we know fabregas wont come |

The only thing about having Thiago is that, Barca's blood are within him. Eventually he will seek for a return to Camp Nou once Xavi has retired. That is the thing about Spanish players.
I also fear De Gea might do the same. As much as I want him to stay at United, he will return to Madrid, maybe Real or but should be hard since he started off from the other Madrid club instead. Sigh. |

If you know what i am sayen. suddenly i dun wan thiago to come.... cos he might whoring himself balik THAT club few years down the road...mcm a certain "feeder club" in lon-don. But if Fabregas, i assume he won't ask for a return to Camp Nou once he leave again kannnn. His sell-on value will drop even more already |

The problem is, Thiago is not reject. He has a release clause in his contract stating that anyone can purchase him if he does not play 60% of the games in La Liga hence his value clause value dipped from €90mil to £18mil. Once the clause is activated, he can choose to leave or stay, just like Mario Goetze. Bloody judas.
I wouldnt call Thiago a reject. His performance during the U21 EURO justified his class. This post has been edited by andrewtho: Jun 20 2013, 08:19 PM |

QUOTE(JohnnyBeGud @ Jun 20 2013, 08:38 PM) But if he is not a reject, surely he has played more than 60% of the game, no? Funny when one is comparing a team that has the best midfield in the world. Tell me, how does a 22 year old fit able to cast aside a team consisting of Xavi-Iniesta-Busquest-Sanchez ? Not forgetting Fabregas and Song? Xavi is 33, has won plenty of medals and trophies during his playing career and still performing at his best, Thiago kn the other hand is only 22 year of age and just won his first international medal? Surely Thiago will get his chances if Xavi is injured or unfit, but how often? The fact that the clause is activated proves that Barca does not deem him good enough to play more than 60% of their game thus making him a reject in our eyes. By your way of implying, are Welback, Hernandez and Cleverley considered as rejects too? They dont get to play often, only used when there is a slot available. Does that mean that they are not good enough for us? If you claim that Tiago is a reject in your eyes, then that is what you feel. Everyone else would welcome a talent like him in OT. Just dont let me catch you supporting him should he choose to sign for us and shine. |

Funny when the papers claimed that United are in talks with Barca for Thiago. I mean, isnt his clausd there already? Just trigger it and songlap Thiago only ma, no need to negotiate at all. Like what Bayern did to Dortmund. Unless we are paying lesser than the clause of course.

QUOTE(dundermifflin @ Jun 21 2013, 12:18 PM) i doubt Rooney will go to Arsenal. his motivation are always money and silverware. Arsenal are lack of that departments. True. Why bother going to London when you are with the best team in England? Arsenal are yet to win a major trophy in what? 7-8 years? The grass is always not greener on the otherside Thiago news are gaining momentum. hope it'll conclude early. i still hope for Nani to stay. Carrick Thiago Kagawa Nani RVP Rooney |

QUOTE(roti-terbakar @ Jun 21 2013, 11:18 AM) kena ada personal agreement dulu ma with Thiago. you don't think we just steal him and let him dunwan play rot on our bench? I was referring to Barca, not Thiago. Personal terms need to be agreed by both parties but between Barca and United, not necessarily need to negotiate since we can trigger his release clause. Trigger his clause = hit and run, no need to nego one. Just like what Bayern did to Dortmund. Hit Goetze's €32mil clause and done deal. This post has been edited by andrewtho: Jun 21 2013, 12:38 PM |
