Tried Oculus S and it is comfortable for only 15 minutes but after that. got super headache and nausea. My IPD is 71 and the software IPD didn't help at all. No issue with Vive when trying it. But the Oculus S screen is much better screen, once used oculus S screen, cannot go back to Vive. With HTC vive I can play for hours without nausea (Loaned a Vive from a friend for a week haha _
So my dilemma is this when deciding what will my first VR headset after trying both Oculus S and HTC Vive:
Oculus S
Pros:
1. Cheaper 2. Higher Resolution and Clearer Image. 3. Not noticeable screen-door effect unless I specifically look for it. 4. More conformable on the head, feels lighter.
Cons:
1. Lack of IPD adjustment make me sick after a short while. (Some people might not experience this).
I guess I most probably get the Vive as there is no point have nicer screen if I want to want to vomit every 15 minutes. Hope the HTC Cosmos will b a hybrid of both S and Vive.
Anyone here owns a HTC Vive Pro, wondering if it is a worth price difference of RM3k compared to the normal Vive.

Scared DOA device...I always bad luck when ordering electronic stuff online. DOA monitor, motherboard, ram, and GPU before...need send warranty the next day

QUOTE(FluffyTee @ Jul 26 2019, 10:29 PM) Interesting. I assume you are one of those small group of people who would have their threshold for motion sickness somewhere between 80Hz to 90Hz. It was believed that 90Hz was the "balance" cut off point so most ppl don have motion sickness. At one time, PSVR insisted 120Hz as well. Oculus Rift S took a risk by lowering theirs to 80Hz I think it's more on the IPD rather than 80 Hz. With Oculus S I need to focus more even with the software IPD adjusted, If I stop focus the screen became very blurry. So eye's will get tired quicker and then the nausea comes in. With Vive I can just set the IPD to my IPD and just look at the screen normally , can last hours without the urge to puke.

Anyone have experience with damage to the HMD due to sweat ?
Been reading some forums and seems some of them will die because of condensation of the sweat to the screen.
