Definitely sounds a bit like OCD and an anxiety disorder. Consult your physician and maybe get on psychotherapy. Your doctor may prescribe you some medication to go along as well like anti-depressants which can help with your anxiety and OCD.
Meanwhile you should practise good sleep hygiene to help get yourself to sleep:
- No rigourous activity at all at night
- Try not to take naps at all
- Don't use your bed or bedroom for anything other than sleep (or sex if you have a partner)
- No food after dinner especially high calorie foods or stimulants (coffee)
- Rigourous exercising in the day can help you destress and also help you sleep better at night
- If you can't sleep at night, or wake up and can't get back to sleep, get out of your bed and do something else, like reading a boring book. Don't lie in bed trying to go to sleep - it's torture and won't work
If your sleep troubles continue you might wanna temporarily try sedating anti-histamines (not cough syrup please) which are specifically meant to aid in sleep.
WTH, insomnia, some weird feelings, anxiety
