Sony dy got low and mid range waterproof phone, low end - xperia go, mid range - xperia v. Since this is better than xv in terms of processing power, ram etc. I'm branding it at high end waterproof phone. Probably 1699. Anything more than 1699 ppl will top up toi get ap xperia z or lower to xperia v with d same megapixel.
Just my 2 cents. |

Look at this guys, Xperia V actually has the best display amongst all xperia line up. Compared to other Xperia phones, Xperia V's colour looks the most natural, more vibrant and sharper among all the other Xperia. Wonder if Xperia ZR can beat dat..... Thumbs up to Sony for releasing firmwares to fix the display.
I'm really into Sony's display compared to Samsung's display. I find Samsung's amoled display shows colours that are too saturated. With this ZR coming up, I'm eager to switch to Sony. Just not sure which Xperia shud i get. |

ZR camera is definitely way better than N4. But then N4 is still nexus device, direct update by google, hence futureproof. It really depends on what u want for ur phone.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 1 2013, 05:21 PM) All phone/tablet model by Sony in year 2013 till date. Just imagine if it is Xperia Nexus! Vanilla Android + killer camera sensor. But seriously unlikely. Seems like there wont be a Nexus 5 anyway. International (Dual for China market only) Xperia C – C2305, S39h [Pelican] Xperia E – C1504, C1505 [NanHu SS] Xperia E dual – C1604, C1605 [NanHu DS] Xperia L – C2104, C2105 (S36h) [TaoShan] Xperia M – C1904, C1905 [Nicki SS] Xperia M dual – C2004, C2005 [Nicki DS] Xperia SP – C5302 (M35h), C5303, C5306, M35c, M35t [HuaShan] Xperia Tablet Z – SGP311, SGP312, SGP321 [Pollux] Xperia Z – C6602 (L36h), C6603, C6606 (C6616) [Yuga] Xperia ZL – C6502 (L35h), C6503, C6506 [Odin] Xperia ZQ [Brazil version of Xperia ZL] Xperia Z Ultra – C6802, C6833, C6806, XL39h [Togari] Xperia ZR – C5502 (M36h), C5503 [Dogo] Japan Market Only Xperia A – SO-04E (NTT DoCoMo) [Dogo] Xperia Z – SO-02E (NTT DoCoMo) [Yuga] Xperia Tablet Z – SO-03E (NTT DoCoMo) [Pollux] Xperia UL – SOL22 (AU by KDDI) [Gaga] Coming Soon Xperia ??? - Code Name [Honami] RM1599 RRP I think is acceptable. If i'm not mistaken, Xperia V was released with this RRP too, together with TX. Both also RM1599 I think. So actually it is Xperia V's replacement, improver version of Xperia V, so no surprise seeing it takes Xperia V's RRP of RM1599. This post has been edited by briantwj: Jul 1 2013, 11:59 PM |

QUOTE(tongaz86 @ Jul 2 2013, 01:22 AM) Who know...Honami might be Nexus 5 base model.Google did mentioned about bringing better camera on next Nexus line.Delay in new android 4.3@5.0 also might be related to wanting it to be on next Nexus device. Looks like we will have to go for ap set fot lte version. Xperia ZR Rm1599 without LTE...come on Sony even Xperia V and SP have LTE. |

QUOTE(kysham @ Jul 6 2013, 09:01 AM) Interesting phone. Good for taking photos of little boy and me at the baby swimming pool. +1 on charging using the dock. Most of Sony's waterproof smartphone also comes with charging dock option. Xperia V, Acro S, Z and now Zr. Sony is very thoughtful of their customer, this is will reduce charging using the original microusb port. And the price I think is pretty good. I got my Acro S also around that price point. But my Acro S came with a charging dock free inside the package, and it was a very affordable charging dock. I bought an additional unit for around RM25 (if I'm not mistaken) to put in my office, so that I always charge the phone using the dock and not remove the flap and charge via the USB socket. I think that really is important key point (to charge using the dock) because less wear and tear on the flap means less chance for water ingress, and the water proof functionality remains intact. |
