Houses with a sample policy that isn’t on their website:
Frederic Malle – If you phone the NY store, they will send you three samples of your choice for a handling fee of $20.
Serge Lutens – If you email them, write them, or phone them, they will send you a ‘book’ of their wax samples (Petit Livre des Salons) and possibly a spray sample of a current scent. (They’ve been very accommodating on two occasions for me but some have not had luck, fyi.)
Robert Piguet – If you email them, they will send you any samples of your choice for $3 each + $15 shipping.
Hermes – If you send them a thoughtful email, they will send you any sample you ask for (though I’ve heard they’re more helpful in North America than in Europe).
In all these cases, the stores will be most accommodating if you sound like you intend to buy. Keep that in mind when you craft your email/call.

Hey guys,

sounds crazy, but how does one be a perfumer ?

To be perfume seller is one thing, but to be a perfume maker ? where or how does one start ? looks like a interesting job.

curious.

there are many beginner's kit selling online as well as perfume oils.of course u need to know the basics, which means need to spend a lot of time reading and researching.it is a fun and lucrative job if you are good.there are a few foreign perfume reviewers that turns into perfumer, because after testing and reviewing so many bottles, you ought to know which notes will mix well with each other.

can you compare between those 2 i mentioned?
*
i have both,i prefer double black more.its sweeter, more intense version, black is like a lighter and fresher version, its a 'it's there, it's not there' kind of scent, but with double, its always pumping up whole day.although many like black, but i find it to be just a normal nice scent, and the longevity on me is pretty poor, double black lasts very long on my skin.if i can only choose one,i will take double black immediately, but i am still wondering why many prefer the regular black and get more compliments hmm.gif

finally managed to get this tester bottle.definitely the best from ferrari, the strongest and most lasting and most distinguish from ferrari.this cant fight with M7 though, many compare this with M7,but this is a very smooth silky oud.soft oud but nicely blended with the rose scent.dry down is great.cant stop smelling myself.
next in line would be silver essence, hopefully can get to try it as well

Hi, is there any perfume that probably last longer, say at least morning to evening? My Acqua Di Gio only last 1-2 hours. I know it might be my chemistry. But is there any generally long lasting perfume?
*
generally fresh, aquatic, sporty scent wont last so long compared to gourmands or fougere scents.u can try bvlgari aqva or bvlgari extreme for this kind of fresh and light scent,on me last quite long.i have bad luck with l'eau d'issey though,i like the scent but poor longevity on me

after tested this,i really have to get this.it smells of quality, even the bottle is nice, magnetic cap.the opening is a bit strong, but then the sweetness comes in,i do get a bit of root beer smell here,if thats how myrrh smells like,i love it.this really smells of quality juice.if u like Encre Noire,u will like this as well.i tested this on the back of my palm and it's there the whole day.but this isnt for the youngsters, this is for da man.
if any one wants this can pm me,can get a good price for u.will do a promo decant for u guys as well, super cheap

Bro.. I.could not agree more with u... ES parfum is really not for hippes, more towards realiable gentleman... I also get the root beer note too... It not that dark compare to Encre Noire as I dont get that ink vibe here... Magnetic cap is an added bonus...

Opening quite similar with.the ori ES but thats where all the similarity end lol... Quite similar with pour monsieur concentre... If not I sure get this... Both are love at first sniff.. And will bring ur olfactory level higher lol
*
true, the basenote is a lighter version of Encre Noire, some compared this to L'instant de Guerlain,i dunno but i am starting like this kind of scent, getting older probably.

sold it to my customer - an arabic guy bought it..phew..
*
haha yea you said before that you dont like dior homme intense previously.i am a big fan of it and LIDGE.i guess this is what makes perfume so interesting, things that we get and like, others may not and vice versa.if all of us like the same thing,it would be boring

Bro... The extreme intense version u r refering to the black bottle, right? I cant find any of these
*
yup,the black bottle.i think the 007 perfume copied this bottle.i got a sample of extreme intense, very nice too, more fruitier but of dry fruits, dry orange kinda scent, and a bit of honey.like a modern version of Habit Rouge, but i think can be worn by guys 25 and above, not as balmy and dry as the parfum version.its like Terre D'Hermes mix with Habit Rouge or maybe rive gauche

Personally,I prefer A*Men all the way. We all know the love & hate story of A*Men.  I Love the smell...drool  tongue.gif  1 of my go-to-scents for nite-out, cooler days, special occasions & when got young gals told me i smelled so good & so MAN...enuf said.  icon_rolleyes.gif

I just bought Animale x2 abt a month+ ago. A cheapo blind buy anyway. Smell nice? well, not bad la but it lacks the sparks i'm looking for. Its doesn't excite me. Try to find the sparks with each use but.... So its just a ok lo for me.  Somewhat disappointed with it...probably due to many overwhelming positives reviews about it.  I dun see much similarity with A*Men.  2 different animals so to speak...1 a beast-ly tiger & the other a Sang Kancil (?)  biggrin.gif  Also, longevity and projection is so-so only on my skin.  If anyone who had tried it & liking it & works better on u, i would let it go. Used abt 10% of the juice only. Just not the one for me.
*
i gotta agree with u,animale animale is boring, the drydown is nothing compare to pure havane

Now I'm into 5th hour plus of wearing. Myrrh has moved to background. What I smell mostly now is Encre Noire's vetiver. The scent is still present although it's closer to skin.

bro where u spray usually?i tested, try spraying 2 sprays each on each side of your collarbone with eau sauvage parfum, total 4 sprays, neck and chest seems to be gone faster
