Is myrrh prominent? Is it a sweet/dry myrrh? Does it smell like the one in Fahrenheit Absolute and Eau Sauvage Parfum?
*
sweet but unlike eau sauvage root beer kinda sweet, this is more vanilla-ish.it has tonka bean, and i just found out it has beesway,no wonder the opening is so waxy, like it a lot actually.the myrrh is quite prominent, most of the time its myrrh

Thanks.
Using plastic Atomizer rather than the glass ones doesn't actually effect the juice right? . My over thinking paranoid side keeps thinking how the plastic could somehow melt & mix with the perfume thus spoiling it. Will go looking for it.

New fragrance purchase.
Just bought maison Francis kurkdjian aqua universalis forte. love it so much. I admit it's on the feminine side &  I'm a guy (used my wife Acc here) but somehow the freshness of it seems to blend with my body chemistry so well. Felt like I'm not wearing any fragrance. Perfect skin scent that has excellent longevity with a gentleman's projection. Lasts 24 hours on me. Seriously don't mind wearing this everyday.
*
for volume higher than 10ml,always use glass atomiser, from my experiment, plastic atomiser will spoil the opening of the fragrance sooner.
oohhh MFK aqua universalis forte is really nice, the citrus and the floral,jasmine...nice

One more thing..
Anyone here a usual buyer at the website perfume Malaysia?
The other one is Malaysia perfume.

Which one do you guys recommend?
*
i went thru those sites u mentioned,perfume-malaysia belongs to one of the member here, bro wazzap.of course he's selling legit stuff.but when i googled, this one came out on top, perfumesmalaysia. confirmed selling fake,no such thing as factory reject perfume, and i myself have personally went to those kind of warehouse before.look at the price, they selling to retail for rm60 a bottle, original!!??who are they trying to cheat man
malaysia-perfume.com should be legit also la,if u are unsure,always ask if there's a refund policy,if dont have,buy elsewhere....
and actually the waiting for the fragrances to arrive is the best part about buying online, thats why some of us here buy from overseas websites, fragrancex for cheap frags and free shipping, strawberrynet, luckyscent and many more, they can be cheaper than what u get from malaysian sites

Amouage Memoir Man
bought this last 2 weeks ago, managed to give this 2 full wearings so far.this is quite versatile, but i would prefer to wear this in evening and night time.very green opening,i like it,the absinth and the mint, very cooling,in fact i have some cooling feeling on the back of my hand where i sprayed this on.the mint stays till the mid,and it reminds me a bit of cartier roadster.this is a very unique scent, and very nice..initially i like the opening but now i dig the drydown more.the balmy, woody and the slight hint of vanilla and tobacco is really nice,a very warm and smooth drydown.the signature frankincense can be detected after 1 hours of wearing and its there till the end,the whole combination is lovely.
only drawback is that it get to really close skin scent after 5 hours, but the close skin scent is what made me so addicted to smell my wrist the whole night.i dont think a lot of people will say amouage frags are sexy, but i think memoir man is the sexiest among all.i still dont understand the most hyped jubi xxv,its so sickening sweet and the drydown is boring, memoir man does it for me.but if u have the chance go try opus 3,its much sweeter than jubi xxv and thicker, crazy sweet

OMG! I'm such a NOOB here! I don't even know how to post my SOTD. Sorry Kel if this post ends up in reply to yours!!! How do I post a new post? But in this group???

Edit: OH!!! I've figured it out!!! LOL!

YAY! SOTD is Terre d'Hermes!!! LOVE THIS! Reminds me a lot of Montale Red Vetiver but since it's so hard to find (unless I pay for expensive shipping), I'll just have to stick to TDH first!
*
LOL congrats on finding it out finally
Terre d'hermes is one of my favourite too,the dry rotten orange scent is just amazing

today is the best 10/10 in my life so far... this has arrived at my house courtesy of bro Marver, thank u so much, u r such a nice seller  thumbup.gif i have gotten most of my bottles from this fella...

who wanna try creed, bond no. 9, etc can try him out  notworthy.gif

[attachmentid=3669531]

Yes finally i have bite the bullet and join the hype train for this baby... im blown away.

here are some of the unboxing pics, it is a bottle for middle east region... however it is a legit bottle, batch code: A3211X01

[attachmentid=3669537][attachmentid=3669539][attachmentid=3669540]

i try to spray on my hand, do bear in mind i quite like CoolWater, this GIT my friend do smell like it but it is wayyyy better than CW, trust me.... for a frag which is same age like me, it do not smell dated, in fact it feel modern...

Wow this is strong.. so green, clean... ran out of words at the moment, anyway youtube reviewers have already cover all the aspects.. i just wanna add on some of my point particulary on the diff with CW..

GIT is a more complex, deeper, richer, natural, smooth version of CW... It is just like MI vs unforgivable... The similarity vibe is there but the difference is big especially in the ingredient quality department. Creed really is the king of fresh scents....

[attachmentid=3669541]

All this while i always tot who the heck would pay more to smell like CW, i was wrong... all u need is just 1 spray and u will understand wat im trying to say d... definitely 10/10 in my rating together with my Chergui, BO and MI

yes i admit im a creed fanboy lol rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

i suddenly recall, actually you have to know which generation of cool water you comparing to,because even cool water has the vintage and current version.when i bought a new cool water,it smells different to the one i had 10 years ago,the current one is so weak and not crisp at all that i did doubt if my current cool water is a fake, even the cap looks different a bit, lettering on the box also different, but then when i search around,i found out that there's 2 version of it. i was in a way lucky to have own a vintage cool water before, and sad that i simply sprayed my vintage cool water thinking that its cheap and easily replaceable, not knowing that the current version is miles apart.so if you were to compare vintage cool water and GIT,i think they are quite on par, cool water might actually beat GIT by one millimeter though.GIT can definitely beat the current cool water by far.i miss my old cool water cry.gif seems like all oldies are the best

and for the earlier question you asked me if aventus is worth splashing the cash....i would say its a risk, because with aventus, there's the batch code thing, you might like the scent for the aventus samples you got from me,but do remember they are samples, samples are always filled with the good quality ones, and i have experimented with many aventus samples, they all smell the same and the same longevity, not like some members in basenotes said watered down or anything, its still the strong and long lasting one in all the vials i tested.so if one day you decided to take that leap of faith,do prepare for the worst bro...i have a friend bought it in US and his version is the watered down version, remember how the sample smelled kinda fiery burning pineapple??his bottle lack that fire

it depends on a case by case basis. some scents do indeed have sucky reformulated versions but dosent mean every single scent that is reformulated is bad. not good to generalize and go into a vintage hunting frenzy. Also consider the effects of ageing and maceration which continues even after the perfume has been bottled.
*
if you read properly, the word is"mostly",not every single ones, and i am referring to scents i had and smelled before,i have only smelled the old habit rogue,so i dont know hows the new one is like, and am never on a hunting frenzy for old reformulation that are hyped up.and a lot of reformulations happened due to ifra as well, many scents with castoreum, hyrax, civet are no longer allowed, unless synthetically, which will never be the same.many chanel's ladies classic are examples.i cant really see whats the good of reformulation, whats the good part??

but anyway, you won a bottle of eau de internets, you win!

lol the irony of a fail comeback.if thats a hype, then the way i hyped some frags since version1 of this perfume thread would be the goddest of all hype.thanks for the bottle though

another fake fragrance warehouse spotted and confronted on 11/10/2013.below is the advertisement, they had this last year too,but noticed that there's no name of the company this time.
Attached Image
upon arriving, btw its really near to my office,so wanna see what they are up to this time after i highlighted this to the msian consumers association(fomca) last year, and they are doing it again this time.
i took few photos and recorded down a conversation between me and a salesperson attending the fragrance booth and also the manager.the salesperson asked what i was looking for and said the frags are original, then upon further probing, the answer he gave me was that those frags are defected hence the price,rm129 each, many ppl were buying it actually.as we all said before over here,no such thing as defected or rejected perfume, many chanels on offer, logically will chanel sell defected stuffs?hmm
Attached Image thats the mini van carrying some product, theres a lot more in the building
last year i confronted the owner, this time only the manager is around, his name is Das,a very rude indian guy.hopefully i got everything i need and will lodge an official complain to fomca.melwani's has been duping many consumers already and many cases are voiced out on the net.hopefully next year this "warehouse sale" will be gone

*
its a total skin scent, even if you spray 5 times and living in a microwave oven,it still wont offend anyone.212 sexy has to be re-apply few times if you intend to wear it the whole day.if u spray once,u might as well not spray it at all.gone in a few hours

i might differ from u .
i had dis problem 2 years ago when i first start buying perfumes.. my first perfume bought was versace dreamer and 212 sexy men. when i wearing perfume i cant smell the perfume after 1-2 hours wearing it. bcos my skin eat all the perfume smell. but last year i had changed my bodywash johson ph 5.5 2 in 1. i dunno after around 4-5 month wear it i think when im wearing a perfume it become very long-lasting in me and project quite good for me. i can say 212 sexy men if im wearing usually wear around 4-6 spray of it (hahaha i like to kill people) it at 9 am before go work then i come back from work and go bath then sleep tomorrow morning when i wake up i could still smell the hint of 212 sexy men ..
and 1 more lalique white dat i bought from u when im wearing it it could last more than 9 hours++ on me.. i think it quite nice for smell like dat to stay dat long..

sory if my eng is broken.. im not good in eng.. do dis thread we can write in malay? hehehehe..

today i go for jalan find perfumes around kl then i see Diptyque and i try Eau Duelle edt and edp.. i realy love the smell.. the counter boy wanna sell me his personal bottle of eau duele edt 30% discount from counter but i realy like the edp and 1 more it is hard buying it bcos of new bajet 2014.. hahaha
after dis we put less sugar in drink and use more sweet candy perfume...
*
i get what u mean, but that will happen usually if you dont rotate much of your scents, your nose will get so used to the scent you wear everyday that even after you shower and when u wake up,its still there but trust me,when u ask the person beside you when u wake up,they cant smell a thing but only u.the scent is kept in the neuron of your brain and it just reminds u of it.i have never wear the same scent twice in a month.and i am very sure its not olfactory fatigue when i said that after few hours i couldnt smell it on my skin, but in a way you are right as well cause different fragrances react differently to different skin.i have a friend that wears 1 million and amouage epic man,and it only lasts about 3 hours on him while it lasts forever on the rest of us.
lalique white always has good longevity bro.i am starting to dislike fresh and aquatic scents la but lalique white is a very pleasant scent.glad it has found a good home to stay

and i think its ok to write in malay, but if certain terms we really dont know it in malay,we will reply in english perhaps

So I decided to give cool water a go after reading many positive reviews about it. The scent was definitely not what I was expecting. Smells exactly what my mom sprays the bathrooms at home with. Very feminine scent too. I think i may throw this a way. I do not want to associate myself with bathrooms. I'll just still with my CK Be for the time being.
*
thats what i said earlier regarding cool water,u got the reformulated cool water which is really bad.if you have tried the pre-formulated,which i always like pre-formulated stuff, you wont want to throw it away.the cap and the 'davidoff' lettering is how you differentiate them

Guys, would like to ask for suggestions. I had a bottle of aqua di gio for quite long time and love how it smells(pls notice that i only smells very2 few numbers of perfume in my entire life). Then i watch a lot of youtube review, basenote, fragrantica review for my next perfume as my adg finish. Decided to get Davidoff cool water, buying online(blindbuy), never test it.

At first use, i am quite disappointed as CW smells cheap to me and it has bad longevity and also bad projection. I spray a lot(at least 6 sprays) but no one even notice it after 30-40minutes. After using for 3-4 times, it becomes an okay perfume. My gf prevoiusly like ADG and says that coolwater smells harsh but both of them cant last long for me. So I am searching for perfume that last long and project wells because i like to be notice and get compliments.

This leads me to JPG Le Male, TM A*men, PR 1million. I never test this kind of perfume, and most of the review said this kind of perfume would be best used in winter/falls while Malaysia is quite hot/warm. Is there any suggestions?
*
this is so easy.since you like ADG but hate the longevity, get the new ADG ESSENZA,its an edp version,so it will last,i have a bottle of that, last from morning till night time, hate it for such long longevity
