Mixed BdC and 24 Gold by accident by filling 24 Gold with leftover of BdC into my travel atomizer. Wow, what an amazing layering combo. What I get outta it is sweet fruity, smoky incense and ambery scent with a touch of oud.

There's nothing wrong with Polo Blue. I quite like the cucumber note in this. I had a sample vial to test out last time. I recently tried Polo (Green) and was blown away by its ashy smoke opening.
I had FB of Bogart PH (and sold it) and tried Pure Havane. I personally wouldn't care both for tobacco scent. However, Chergui is really something unique and will be well-loved by fumeheads I must say. It's in my to-buy list.
SOTD - BdC + 24 Gold Applied in 1:1 ratio and they compliment each other very well. What's your creative layering combos?

QUOTE(Joey-kun @ Sep 13 2013, 03:13 PM) I actually prefer Ambre Sultan to Chergui as Ambre Sultan is overall richer and more sophisticated and smoky. But that's just me I would say it's a matter of taste. I think Edward is not into Amber scent (yet) so Chergui works for him for tobacco based scent. On the other hand, you and I dig Amber so Ambre Sultan is a winner for us.

QUOTE(Joey-kun @ Sep 15 2013, 12:16 AM) kiels musk is clean musk. its the same musk in NRFM musc. the musk in khan is close to Musc Nomade by annick goutal. just sampled Vanilla and Narcisse by l'occitane and it is Spirituese double vanille without the boozy aspect. the naricuss basically dominates the middle note but fades into long lasting and strong vanilla (probably combo of benjoin, almond, vanilla and green notes), but the base note is in general too strong and cloudy compared to the more refined SDV. Talking about L'occitane, the choices offered at one of the stores in Taiwan aren't different of what we have at its counterpart in Malaysia. I was hoping to give Amber Home Perfume a sniff before getting it from SN. This post has been edited by t0n3: Sep 15 2013, 08:37 AM

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ Sep 16 2013, 11:39 PM) [attachmentid=3632670] Amouage Memoir Man bought this last 2 weeks ago, managed to give this 2 full wearings so far.this is quite versatile, but i would prefer to wear this in evening and night time.very green opening,i like it,the absinth and the mint, very cooling,in fact i have some cooling feeling on the back of my hand where i sprayed this on.the mint stays till the mid,and it reminds me a bit of cartier roadster.this is a very unique scent, and very nice..initially i like the opening but now i dig the drydown more.the balmy, woody and the slight hint of vanilla and tobacco is really nice,a very warm and smooth drydown.the signature frankincense can be detected after 1 hours of wearing and its there till the end,the whole combination is lovely. only drawback is that it get to really close skin scent after 5 hours, but the close skin scent is what made me so addicted to smell my wrist the whole night.i dont think a lot of people will say amouage frags are sexy, but i think memoir man is the sexiest among all.i still dont understand the most hyped jubi xxv,its so sickening sweet and the drydown is boring, memoir man does it for me.but if u have the chance go try opus 3,its much sweeter than jubi xxv and thicker, crazy sweet Thanks for sharing. I was on the fence about this.

QUOTE(m.dandollah @ Sep 22 2013, 07:41 AM) how to sell. i live in Edinburgh. shipping cost pun sudah mahal kalau mahu sell decant ke Malaysia. 250ml Cafe Rose is about £300. Hi, where can I find niche fragrances in Edinburgh? The only department store I know of is John Lewis but it was closed by the time we got there. Didn't see any fragrance shop at Princes Street too.

Thanks m.dandollah for the list. Harrods, how could I forget this one. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to make it there. Found and went in thePerfumeShop but they have designers only.

QUOTE(anige @ Sep 25 2013, 12:39 PM) SOTD: Olfactive Studio Chambre Noire. You guys (and gals) should check this out if you love leather! I'm bad at describing scents so I won't even try! Wow, another niche house I didn't know of. Lowyat is full of crouching tigers hidden dragons My SOTD: Midnight in Paris (EdT). Got a sample vial recently and have been wearing it for two consecutive days. I own the EdP and to be honest, I can't really tell them apart except that the EdP has better performance. The leather, tea and benzoin with a touch with floral is to die for. If you dig Dior Homme, you'll definitely love this one.

Speaking of London, as I was driving to office yesterday with Coldplay music on and Midnight in Paris as my SOTD, I felt like I was an English gentleman haha...
Wearing Dior Homme today but it didn't do that for me although image for it was Jude Law and now Robert Pattinson. I recently was in Taiwan and all of their Dior Homme and Dior Homme Sport at airport duty-free and department stores are in light pink juice. I tested both, DHS smells a bit off. Dior Homme still smells the same but weaker.

QUOTE(Joey-kun @ Sep 27 2013, 04:18 PM) sadly, not a big fan of annick's. too overpriced for the lack of longevity and lack of complexity. Maybe some perfumers prefer simple scents. Currently reading a book called The Dairy of a Nose by Jean Claude Ellena. He says in his book he prefers simple and uses minimalist approach to fragrances.
