To those who usually do splits.. May I know where did u buy the Atomizer. Not the small normal handy one. I need at least 50 ml like that.  Want to do splits with friends of mine.. I tried searching but only found the smaller size ones. If I do 100ml splits. Imagine how many Atomizer I need. Huhuuuw

Tq in advance for any help

You can easily find the 50ml sprayer bottles at Watson and Guardian but it's plastic. I get my small 3ml sprayer bottles for decant from one of the sellers on Taobao. I'm sure they have bigger bottles you're looking for.

Thanks.
Using plastic Atomizer rather than the glass ones doesn't actually effect the juice right? . My over thinking paranoid side keeps thinking how the plastic could somehow melt & mix with the perfume thus spoiling it. Will go looking for it.

New fragrance purchase.
Just bought maison Francis kurkdjian aqua universalis forte. love it so much. I admit it's on the feminine side &  I'm a guy (used my wife Acc here) but somehow the freshness of it seems to blend with my body chemistry so well. Felt like I'm not wearing any fragrance. Perfect skin scent that has excellent longevity with a gentleman's projection. Lasts 24 hours on me. Seriously don't mind wearing this everyday.

It's a niche house. Exquisite taste you have there. I personally would avoid storing it in plastic bottle. Unless I'm just gonna decant it for use in a short trip. I'm not sure how alcohol in perfume would react with plastic.

SOTD - Ambre Russe (AR) by Parfum d`Empire

I'm testing this from a small 0.7ml vial so I couldn't do my usual number of spray but I feel it has better projection and longevity than Ambre Sultan (AS) by Serge Lutens. I get mostly creamy amber and coriander with incense and alcoholic smell in the background at the opening. It smells very similar to AS without prominent bay leaf. It also smells very similar to Blue Amber (BA) by Montale except that coriander is more pronounced in BA. I think I would pass on this one. I like it but I think I'm doing just fine with my AS.

Hi there, nice fragrance blog you have there. You can find designer sample vials at fragrancex.com and niche decants from luckyscent.com. I ordered from both before but my experience with fragrancex.com was not a pleasant one.

SOTD - Ambre 114 by Histoires de Parfums

This one opens up with a sharp spicy note. My guess that would be the caraway. It then quickly settles down to a soft creamy powdery scent. I get amber, vanilla and geranium. Geranium in this is predominant and it does remind me of baby powder. Moderate projection and longevity on my skin. It could be better if I applied more since I'm testing it from a small 0.7ml vial. IMO, it's a different take on amber fragrances with a floral twist and I can see that someone may like it. However, I prefer my amber creamy and spicy only so this is a pass for me. Sorry.

SOTD - Mon Patchouly by Ramon Monegal

I was given a sample to test (thanks to Astroboy22) and wow, this is really good. I usually cannot take oakmoss but this one is added at just the right amount to give an edge to it. The patchouli and jasmine with a touch of oakmoss in this work really well in harmony to create a wonderfully blended scent. IMO, this one is definitely a unisex scent but leaning towards feminine side. It does remind me of classic women fragrances. Very good projection on my skin for the first couple of hours. Just be careful where you spray it as it may be a bit harsh at the opening. It gets 4 out of 5 from me. I like it!

BTW, BBW has just added a new line of fragrances from L'OCCITANE.

SOTN - Zum Mist Frankincense & Myrrh by Indigo Wild
Frankincense and Incense, I always thought they smelled the same. Frankincense is aromatic, balmy and slightly lemony while incense is smoky (burning incense).

Based on my previous shopping experience for designer frags at Lucky Plaza and Beauty Language, the answer is yes if not the same using BBW as benchmark.

for me, vanilla is a very interesting scent to capture as it has many facets, coupled by the fact that scents that use actual vanilla is rare and hard to find as most scents use benzoin (expensive scents) or vanilin (....body shop vanilla) to mimic vanilla. If you have smelled actual vanilla essence before or actual vanilla pods before, you'll know that the scent is very different and very complex compared to vanilin, although it is not strong at all.
*
Interesting. I've sniffed Madagascar vanilla pods before and it does remind me of the vanilla from Chanel AHEB but I just can't take Le Male. Vanilla in Vanille & Narcisse by L`Occitane is quite nice too although it's a different vanilla scent I get.

Are you into single note scents too? Currently I'm digging amber, frankincense and myrrh.

SOTD - Reverie au Jardin by Tauer Perfumes

This is the second creation by Mr. Tauer that I've tested. First one is L`Air du Desert Marocain that I like. I do get the prominent lavender in this with a touch of cedar and oakmoss. An aromatic fougere has slight dated feel to it. I also get another predominant note I'm not familiar with. I guess it's the fir (pine needle?). This is not your typical lavender based scent like Drakkar Noir or Cool Water. It's unique, well-blended and smooth. Moderation projection and longevity on my skin. If you like lavender based scents, definitely give it a try.

What deodorant do you guys use? I don't sweat much but I apply deodorant to my armpits and the slight fragrant of the deo can interfere with the perfume.

I use unscented rollon by Simple. Easily available at major drugstores.
